Vacation Rental Description
This newly furnished home offers cathedral ceilings, dishwahser, microwave, stovetop, oven, coffee maker, blender, propane or charcoal grill, portable DVD, blender (for all those delicious tropical drinks)... Beach towels and two beach chairs and two beach bikes are provided for your use. Also, we're providing for your use and convenience all laundry detergent and dishwasher detergent. You'll have all the comforts of home! This unit will comfortable sleep four (4) people. There is a raised, queen-size blow-up bed for your use if needed.
We're located mid-island and 360 steps (a half block) from the beautiful, powdery-white sands of the beach and the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. We're on a quiet street where you'll be able to relax on the screened-in lanai and enjoy our beautiful Southwest Florida weather. Or you can have meals out there, play cards, or just enjoy some good, old-fashioned porch sittin'.

We're close to "our" Times Square area where you'll find great steak & seafood restaurants and places to treat yourselves to some ice cream. Or, if you choose to cook in, feel free. Remember, you're on vacation. Let go, relax, unwind....
There's also a first-run movie theater where you can enjoy a cocktail, some wine, and even a light meal while watching the movie. There's a library on the island, fishing piers, bicycle rentals, and miniature golf is a short trolly ride or car ride away. You can take the Key West Express for a short jaunt to Key West. There's also the gambling boat, The Big "M", so if you're feeling lucky, hop aborad! Publix Supermarket and CVS Pharmacy is conveniently located on the island.
Nearby attractions include: Sanibel/Captiva Island; The Naples Zoo, The Everglades, for airboat rides; Lover's Key State Park, where you'll be able to rent canoes or kayaks, or just walk the trails or enjoy the lovely beach there, swimming and looking for shells.
You can take a day jaunt aboard the Lady Chadwick and venture to Cabbage Key, where it's said that Jimmy Buffett was inspiried to write the hit song "Cheeseburger in Paradise" from the restaurant there. Or, stop off at Useppa Island. Useppa is a privately owned island, and you can only arrive there aboard the Lady Chadwick, via Captiva Cruises. No other boats are allowed to dock there. You will enjoy walking the island, taking in their museum where they outline the lives of the Calusa indians. Aboard the boats at Captiva Cruises you can go to: Cayo Costa State Park for shelling; Boca Grande on Gasparilla Island to see a quaint seaside village with banyan trees, historic churches, lighthouse, and unique shops and restaurants. Captiva Cruises also provide a dolphin and wildlife adventure; sunset sightseeing; sailing cruises; and private cruise expeditions. All of this information is available to you when you book with us.
Fort Myers Beach is a great vacation spot. There's lots to do, with many great restaurants to choose from. We're sure you'll have a great, relaxing vacation here!
Orlando, and Tampa are both accessible from Fort Myers Beach. Orlando is about a 4 1/2 hour drive and Tampa is about a 2 1/2 hour drive. The Everglades is a place you shouldn't miss; it's about a 2 hour drive.
Fort Myers Beach hosts its annual Sandsculpting Festival the first week of November. You should come down and check it out. The entries are truly unbelievable.

There's also the Big "M" casino boat, which departs twice daily for fun and gambling on the Gulf of Mexico. You can also take a trip on the Key West Express and get Key West in three hours. You can return the same day, or stay in Key West for a few days and return to Fort Myers Beach at a later time. The boat leaves Fort Myers Beach at 10 a.m., and leaves Key West at 6 p.m.
