Englewood is a quaint little seaside town located on Lemon Bay on the Gulf Coast of Florida, about 35 miles South of Sarasota, and a few miles South of Vanice. The beaches are on Manasota Key on the ocean side of Lemon Bay, and run for miles from Stump Pass State Park in the South to Venice in the North. There are four main public beaches with parking, toilet & changing facilities and more. Stump Pass State Park with beaches on the bay or the Gulf, Englewood Beach(Chadwick Park) with a long Board Walk and games and beach shops close by. Middle Beach and Manasota Beach to the North. Englwood has two major Nature Parks, a sports park, and several other parks. The area is great for fishing and boating, and there is a kayak center at Placida Village, 9 miles south. For nature lovers, Myakka State Park, the largest in Florida is about 1 hour away. Sarasota with The Ringling Museum, Jungle Gardens and upscale shopping is 45 minutes North.
