Vacation Rental Description
You will feel right at home in this large three bedroom family home with a fenced yard beside a nice canal just seven minutes from Englewood Beach. You will find large rooms, about 1600 sq ft of living area, including a spacious living room (18' x 21') with big screen TV. A master bedroom with its own bathroom with walk-in shower, and two other bedrooms sharing a full bathroom with tub/shower. TVs in all bedrooms. A large fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar, big fridge, dishwasher, toaster oven and toaster, microwave and a new 4 burner electric stove with oven. The adjoining dining area leads to an enclosed screened sunroom and an outside patio. You share the heated pool next door with with the owners Maggie & John. You have your own entrance from the back garden into the screened pool area. The fully fenced yard is shaded by a spreading Live Oak tree, with a sitting area that overlooks the dock and the canal which leads to Lemon Bay via Oyster Creek. You will find full laundry fcilities and a large garage to park out of the sun. Your family and pets will love it.Disabled access: two steps into the house but very spacious rooms, although there are no grab bars in the bathroom and doors are standard width.
Facilities
The phone service includes long distance within the US and Canada. Verizon DSL Internet service is available at an extra cost of $40.00 per month. Please request in advances as it takes a few days to turn on the service. There is a boat launch close by and a dock at the house. Restaurants and shops are close by and a Walmart Supercenter is about 4 blocks away. Maggie the owner, is a pet rescue person, and your pets will be welcome. You have free run of the owner's large pool next door (Extra cost if you would like the pool heated). Each bedroom has it own TV, and you'll find two VCR/DVD players.All rooms have ceiling fans. Beach chairs, beach towels, a beach umbrella and cooler are all included. The master bedroom has a King bed, the 2nd bedroom has a king bed, the 3rd bedroom has twin beds, and there is a queen sleeper sofa in the living room, and a Futon. All bedrooms are carpeted and have good closets.
Activities
Englewood is a quaint little seaside town located on Lemon Bay on the Gulf Coast of Florida, about 35 miles South of Sarasota, and a few miles South of Vanice. The beaches are on Manasota Key on the ocean side of Lemon Bay, and run for miles from Stump Pass State Park in the South to Venice in the North. There are four main public beaches with parking, toilet & changing facilities and more. Stump Pass State Park has beaches on the bay or the Gulf, Englewood Beach(Chadwick Park) has a long Board Walk and games and beach shops close by. Middle Beach and Manasota Beach to the North. Englwood has two major Nature Parks, a sports park, and several other parks. The area is great for fishing and boating, and there is a kayak center at Placida Village, 9 miles south. For nature lovers, Myakka State Park, the largest in Florida is about 1 hour away. Sarasota with The Ringling Museum, Jungle Gardens and upscale shopping is 45 minutes North.
