Steinhatchee is Florida's best kept secret. A lovely resort/fishing village, it is quaint and unspoiled, but has all of the amenities you want for a vacation getaway. Several nice restaurants for great seafood, local bars and marinas with live music on the weekends, boat rentals and charters at the marinas, quaint shops and a local market for food and necessities. 
 
The cottage is in Steinhatchee Landing, a Victorian style resort in Steinhatchee. At the Landing, there are rental canoes and kayaks, a large swimming pool, a boat dock on the river, gazebo, gift shop, beautiful chapel, tennis court and exercise room. 
 
Hope Cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, living area with gas fireplace (double-sided between the LR and two-person jacuzzi tub in the bathroom), a luxurious king-size bed with nice linens, a washer/dryer, marble and granite in the large bathroom. TVs in bedroom/LR and in the bathroom. Cable TV, High Speed Internet Access, Long-distance telephone service in the cottage. A large screened porch at the back of the cottage overlooks King's Creek and is nicely furnished, including two ceiling fans for comfort. 
 
This is the perfect vacation for a couple wanting to get away from city life and reconnect in a quiet, peaceful setting. Also great for the active couple who enjoy boating, fishing, hiking, bicycling and other outdoor activities. The cottage is family friendly, but is not recommended for very young children. No pets, please.

Deposit required for reservation. We are off-site owners, so payment must be made in full prior to arrival. Our preferred billing method is PayPal. We can send a PayPal invoice to your email address where you can pay using a major credit card, or via your own PayPal account. We have had excellent results using PayPal, which is user friendly and has options for dispute of payments if necessary. (Fortunately, we have never had a problem with this!) We will accept personal checks if payment is made in full at least two weeks before arrival. Due to the location of the resort area, we do not get walk-in guests. Cancellations within two weeks of arrival date will forfeit the deposit unless we are able to book the dates. We apologize for the inconvenience.
