Welcome to Horseshoe Beach Florida, where the fishing, scalloping, boating and beautiful sunsets are a way of life! Come relax and enjoy this nicely furnished Gulf front cottage that has a large covered balcony from which you can enjoy birding, fishing, crabbing and watching the marine life in the gulf waters! It also has a spectaculer view of the gulf and its islands...also a boat dock and a place to clean your fish are on site. Horseshoe Beach has a kiddie Park and a City Ball Park nearby ...Also the town has a Post Office, a General Store (Panama Paul's...with a little of everything, hardware, marine supplies, fishing tackle you name it!) a Library with internet access and lots of books to read, a Local Real Estate Office (Compass Realty of North Florida, Inc | www.CompassRealtyNFL.com), the Chocolate Shop with milkshakes, desserts, hot dogs, and pizza, the Horseshoe Cafe... where you can enjoy dining with a view of the gulf & the Horseshoe Beach Marina for all your boating & fishing needs! Just up the road is Lily Creek General Store where you can sit down to a great southern breakfast, or try their daily lunch specials! We have several species of fish some of which are: Speckled Sea Trout, Red Fish, Cobia, Flounder, Sheephead, Spanish Mackerel, Sea Bass, Grouper, King Fish, etc. Our Scallop season starts July 1st thru September 10th each summer. Why not take a few days off and come enjoy some good fishing, scalloping, boating, kayaking & or canoeing!!!! Some pets are allowed... call us about your pet before you reserve. The Golf course is approx. 45 minutes near Chiefland, the Tennis court is approx. 20 minutes in Cross City. There is a local beach & one approx. 15 minutes away at Shired Island. We have shopping & restaurants locally and in the surrounding nearby towns. There are lots of islands and creeks to explore...great for boating, canoeing or kayaking.
