Condo-By-The-Ocean - A RARE FIND! There are those who believe life at the Ocean's edge has a quality and calm untouched by any other setting, natural or unnatural. For those who yearn for their own place by the sea, away from the tangles of city life, Seaplace is a rare find indeed. Our Condo is located on Atlantic Beach, the oldest and most private of a string of beach communities that are aong the Atlantic Shore near Jacksonville, Florida. Atlantic Beach has traditionally been a comfortable community of summer homes, gentle tides, radiant sunrises and desirable residential privacy. At high tide, the Ocean is less than 300 feet away, with no streets to cross...and the balmy sea breeze never stops. Imagine sugar-white sandy beaches kissed by gentle waves and glorious sunsets. Warm waters and salt air refresh the spirit, and a swim in the sea, a fishing trip or a round of golf just might relax the body. The Condo is located right next to a large, fresh-water swimming pool, for an inviting dip anytime of day. Two doors away is a complete laundrette, with washers and dryers. Sliding-glass doors in the Living Room leads to an Outdoor Patio that is enclosed with a fence and shrubbery for complete privacy while dining. Inside, the Condo is fully-equipped and tastefully decorated with light and beachy furniture, white tile floors in the kitchen and dining room, and luxurious wood floors in the Living & fireplace areas. The finest seafood restaurants in Northeast Florida are close by, and Atlantic Beach is a wonderful location for day trips to all of the exciting things that North Florida has to offer. Atlantic Beach is just 30 minutes from historic St. Augustine to the south, and Amelia Island to the north. And everywhere, the soothing sound of the waves regulates an easy pace for living. It's quite possible that Seaplace is everything you've always wanted.... and then some. Besides the more than 50 miles of white-sand beaches, you'll find a variety of shopping areas along Hwy.A1A, which winds its way down the beaches. The attractions, restaurants and boutiques that fill these coastal areas provide an enjoyable recess from the surf and sand. Take day-trips to the historic fishing village of Mayport, where ships of all sorts still set sail from. Visitors can hop aboard the Mayport ferry for a scenic trip to Fort George, or head out to sea on a casino boat cruise. The nearby Mayport Naval Station offers visitors a tour of destroyers and frigates. Further south, Jacksonville Beach always attracts plenty of beachcombers, but history buffs will find the town is worth a visit as well. Over at the American Lighthouse Museum, visitors can gaze at authenic scale models of famous lighthouses and view more than 300 oil paintings, many dating from the 1800s. In Ponte Vedra Beach, active vacationers can enjoy world-famous fairways and championship tennis courts. The prestigious home of the PGA Tour headquarters, Ponte Vedra Beach offers visitors the opportunity to play the same courses that challenge professional golfers. Or, visit historic St. Augustine, where 300-year-old stone forts and opulent turn-of-the-century hotels provide visitors with plenty to explore even before they reach the beach. But just across the historic Bridge of Lions from St. Augustine lie the beaches of Anastasia Island, where sabal palms and sea oats grow wild on 15-foot-high dunes. On the way to the surf, take a slight sidestep to the distinctive candy-striped St. Augustine Lighthouse and Museum. Purported to be the site of Florida's first lighthouse, the view from the top is worth the climb. When you are finished exploring, return to the Condo and Atlantic Beach, a slow-paced beachside town with year-round activities and events for every age group.
