Siesta Key is a beautiful eight-mile long barrier island located just of the shore of Sarasota, Florida in the Gulf of Mexico, approximately 55 miles south of Tampa. The Siesta Key beaches could be called "The Crystal Beaches" for they are composed of billion upon billions of tiny crystals.
