House of Ringling was built in 1918 as a summer residence of Alfred Ringling. He was one seven brothers who operated the Ringling circus, now amalgamated with Barnum and Bailey. The house is spacious and elegant. It is a two storey house of 4,600 sq. ft. There are two suites on the ground level, both with private bath. On the upper level there are 3 further bedrooms, two of which have private facilities. On entering the house there is a sun lounge stretching the width of the house. The main room was known as the ballroom and is architecturally very unusual. There is a library/ study, and seperate dining room, served by a substantial kitchen. This house was built for entertaining and lends itself well to accommodating large groups of friends and family, allowing space and serenity. Outside there are gardens and a private pool and spa, also generous patios, where outside grilling and dining are a pleasure. The street is at Little Sarasota bay and you can fish, kayak or just watch the wonderful sunsets. The beaches of Lido, Bradenton,Anna Maria Island are tweny mins. away The white sands of Siesta key a mere twenty five. The house is in the arts and museum areas of Sarasota, downtown and the marina are ten mins. In every way, this location and home is a great place to see and enjoy all that south west Florida is famous for.....
