The private pool has a waterfall and is heated during the cooler months by electricity, so you can swim year round. Sunbathe around the pool, take in the 360 degree views around the island from the roof top terrace or relax on either of two balconies. For more relaxation, sink into one of the superb quality eight-way hand tied sofas or extra thick pillow topmattresses. Villa Sofia is first class all the way.
Hand crafted cast iron gates mark the entryway. Pass through the gates and into the cool of the large garage. The drive, walkway and pool surround are topped with Roman style pavers. When you enter Villa Sofia you will love the attention to detail in the decor. a few steps lead into the characterful living room in the tower - sit back and enjoy cable TV, DVD and stereo. Furnished with antique style pine furnishings and the hugely comftable extra wide sofas.
In the large day room, the dining area is perfectly placed to take advantage of view of the tropical palms and flowering plants that surround Villa Sofai. Large glass sliders lead out on to the generous balcony so you can dine indoors or outdoors with equal ease. Keep in touch with family, friends and business with Hi-Speed DSL internet access.

Cook out on the grill down by the pool or fix snacks, lunch or dinner in the fully equipped kitchen. Maple wood cabinetry and the full range of appliances including dishwasher, range, refrigerator/freezer, and microwave with dishes, pots, pans, silverware and small appliances provided.
A hand crafted oak staircase leads up to the two master suites. All three of the bedrooms have TV, thick, comfortable pillow top mattresses and good quality linens.
The master bedroom suite one has a huge king size antique style pine bed, private bathroom and a large closet with a couple of twin pillow topped mattresses stored in case you have a couple of extra visitors. Glass sliders lead out on to a private balcony with loungers for relaxing quietly with an early morning coffee or escaping for a quiet read in the afternoon. The romantic master bedroom suite two in the tower has a king size poster bed, large closet and private bathroom with a large oval whirlpool spa tub for two and shower. Bedroom three has two twin beds and a private bathroom.
Outside among the tall palms and the flowering tropical plants there is an electrically heated swimming pool with Roman style brick paved surround, loungers for sunbathing and a grill for cook-outs. A wooden pergola provides a shady area to sit and enjoy a good book or just lay back and close your eyes.

All along the island you will find bike paths, marinas, water sports, sailboats, tennis courts and broad sweeping expanses of peaceful uncrowded beaches overlooking the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Quaint turn-of-the-century fishing piers are a great place to drop a fishing line, walk off a sumptuous meal or pass the time of day with the locals. Our protected beaches are home to loggerhead turtles, pelicans and herons and it is common to see dolphins playing in the waters of the Gulf.
Dining on the island is a culinary adventure with everything from casual beach cafes for breakfast or lunch, to fine restaurants with an international reputation. There are plenty of small shops and boutiques to browse around for gifts, craft items, silver and distinctive casual clothes. Just over on the mainland is the vibrant city of Bradenton and with Tampa and Orlando just a drive away, you can easily spend a day at Disney or Busch Gardens.

Master bathroom one has a roll top Victorian style cast iron bath tub, a separate shower, and classic white Heritage fixtures including two wash hand basins and a bidet. Bathroom two contains a large oval whirlpool spa bathtub for two with built in arm rests, extra deep soaking area and hydrotherapy provided by dual air controls, plus shower fixture.

A $250 non refundable fee is charged to your credit card at the time of booking. This is part of the total cost of your reservation. A 25% deposit is payable within seven days of receipt of the reservation form. Final balance due must be received by 90 days prior to arrival. If the reservation is made within the 90 days prior to arrival, the full payment is due and payable immediately. All funds should made payable to Anna Maria Vacations. (For non US residents the accommodation is quoted in US dollars. Any amounts quoted in UK pounds or Euros are for guidance purposes. The US dollar rate prevails.) In the event of cancellation refunds are subject to Anna Maria Vacations’ ability to re-rent the property for the dates you reserved.
