This is a perfect place for you to spend your summer vacation or a get-away for the winter months. You are in walking distance of a beautiful, sandy beach with breath-taking sunsets and a beautiful place to take your morning walk or evening stroll along the Gulf of Mexico. You may see dolphins playing in the water or sometimes manatees just longing to play. Swimming in the gulf or just sunning on the beach can be an adventure every day. There are several quaint little cafes, coffee shops, ice cream places and restaurants within walking distance, as well as the famous Sandbar Restaurant. Also you canwalk and shop. When you want to venture out, you can hop a trolley and go up and down the island FREE. This winter a trolley route to Long Boat Key and Sarasota is being added for a minimal fee. (Much less than gasoline). Trolley stops are within 2 blocks of your cozy beach house. Anna Maria is a small "Old Florida" village with friendly people every where you go. We are close to Busch Gardens or take a day trip to Orlando and its many attractons (Disney, Seaworld, etc,) Also there are numerous golf courses or take a day and go horseback riding. Of course right on the island there is charter fishing, boat tours, diving expeditions, parasailing, aquariums and many other attractions.
