Perfect for those who want to escape for a truly memorable vacation with sun, sand and sleep! Like its close cousin, Sunrise, next door, Sunset Cottage offers you the best of both worlds from an excellent position right in the center of the island. You are both a short stroll from the glorious sandy shoreline for which this little patch of Florida paradise is justly famous, but also close enough to the many interesting and useful shops of the Holmes Beach shopping district. Situated in a quiet street leading off from the main road which runs the length of the island, you will have to take our word for it that this cottage is so central – stepping outside into the peaceful surrounds of your tropical garden and lagoon pool area you would never believe us.  
Walk down to the best stretch of beach on the island or jump on the free island trolley which stops yards from your front door and go exploring. There are some of the best places to eat on the island close by and you will want to spend at least one afternoon exploring by foot all the interesting and varied shops in Holmes Beach.  
Sunset can also be booked with Sunrise to offer you even more flexible accommodation for up to 12. Renting both properties would be ideal for a family reunion, a group of small families, or just a great place for you and your friends to meet up.  
 
Living area 
The inside of Sunset is cool and comfortable, with nearly 10ft high ceilings, Travertine tiled floors, silent ceiling fans and large French doors leading out on to the tropical garden. Every window and door is fully trimmed in fluted casing with rosettes and following recent refurbishment there is crown molding throughout the property, adding a personal, decorative touch to this luxury home. 
The open-plan living area is furnished in all new Thomasville furniture, including a Barca lounger for those moments when you want to put your feet up and switch off. Watch the 32” flat-screen TV with cable or bring your DVD collection and spend a night at the movies. As well as the whisper quite air conditioning, which will keep the house as cool as you like it when the sun shines, there are ceiling fans to keep the air moving while you sit still.  
 
Kitchen 
The brand new kitchen is stacked with some excellent features which should make cooking fun and stress-free. The whole preparation area has granite countertops and enough eye- and floor-level cupboards to store all your provisions, as well as stainless steel appliances including a large oven, microwave and fridge with freezer. The kitchen is fully equipped with toaster, coffee maker, Farberware pots and pans and cooking utensils, Chicago cutlery, iron and ironing board, as well as a garbage disposal unit. 
 
Bedrooms 
Both bedrooms in this property have en suite bathrooms leading off them, giving all guests complete privacy, and all are finished with top-quality fixtures and fittings. 
The master includes an outrageously relaxing king-size bed finished with a luxurious pillow topped mattress. Lay back, put your feet up and drift off to the best night’s sleep you will ever have. The master bedroom is also a perfect place to relax during the day, with two French doors opening on to the pool area. 
 
Outside 
A safe environment for kids to play in, the large pool has a hidden surprise which everyone will love - two deck jets which arc water high into the air and three further jets which bubble up from the large shallow section at one end. There is also the 38” granite table top in the pool, surrounded by a built-in sitting area.  
You can also eat outside thanks to a three-burner gas grill with side warmer and turn the outdoor lights on to enjoy an al fresco evening meal.

In the dining area, enjoy meals at the beautiful Chippendale table with glass top and four chairs. Leading off from the main living area is a laundry room, with a full-sized LG front loading washer and dryer.

All along the island you will find bike paths, marinas, water sports, sailboats, tennis courts and broad sweeping expanses of peaceful uncrowded beaches overlooking the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Quaint turn-of-the-century fishing piers are a great place to drop a fishing line, walk off a sumptuous meal or pass the time of day with the locals. Our protected beaches are home to loggerhead turtles, pelicans and herons and it is common to see dolphins playing in the waters of the Gulf.  
Dining on the island is a culinary adventure with everything from casual beach cafes for breakfast or lunch, to fine restaurants with an international reputation. There are plenty of small shops and boutiques to browse around for gifts, craft items, silver and distinctive casual clothes. Just over on the mainland is the vibrant city of Bradenton and with Tampa and Orlando just a drive away, you can easily spend a day at Disney or Busch Gardens.

A great deal of thought has gone into the planning and design of this newly refurbished property and the end result is one of the prettiest vacation homes on Anna Maria Island. In addition to the king size Master bedroom suite, the second bedroom has two full-sized beds which is very useful for families or adults who prefer comfortable beds that are more generous than twins. 				Low Season Price:	$1,300 per Week
				High Season Price:	$2,000 per Week

A $250 non refundable fee is charged to your credit card at the time of booking. This is part of the total cost of your reservation. A 25% deposit is payable within seven days of receipt of the reservation form. Final balance due must be received by 90 days prior to arrival.
