The Waters Edge Cottage is one of the prettiest houses of character on Bradenton Beach. This delightful property is nestled literally right on the edge of the waters of Anna Maria Sound, overlooking the bay towards the mainland. The expansive wrap around deck leads out onto the boat & fishing dock. With two bedrooms and two bathrooms the house sleeps four and if you wish to bring an extra two people included in the price there is a large upper landing area on the mezzanine floor at the top of the house with a double futon.
Designed by a local Anna Maria Island artist and built by her husband a well known and respected island General Contractor, The Waters Edge Cottage is an absolute gem enhanced by hand crafted shutters & corbals and white picket fencing. The interior decor has a nautical influence in its design and the huge wall of glass sliders and windows overlooking the water have expansive views out over the Sound towards the mainland. At night you can see the lights on the mainland sparkling on the other side of the moonlit Bay. It is a truly romantic house and the quality of the workmanship throughout is superb.
The entry way leads in from the wrap around deck and through into the open plan living area. Extra wide double glass sliders have amazing views out over the deck to the water and towards the mainland, great for dolphin watching.
Relax in the Great Room on comfortable sofas and enjoy the view, listen to music, watch a DVD or cable TV. There is Hi-Speed DSL Internet access to keep in touch with business, family and friends and phone access in every room. Flooring is easy care Saltillo tile and decor has a nautical island influence. High specification finishes include a custom made spiral staircase to the mezzanine floor above. The high ceilings in the Great Room coupled with the glass sliders and the windows above fill the house with light.
When it comes to dining you have a choice, morning coffee or breakfast out on the deck, brunch at the breakfast bar or dinner in the dining area on the glass top table. If you fish off the dock you can catch your lunch and then grill it in the open air for lunch. Now that's a true Florida lifestyle!
The individual design of the custom built kitchen has a mixture of hand finished and oak cabinetry, hob cook top, built in oven/broiler, fridge/freezer, microwave and a dishwasher. The cabinets contain pots, pans, dishes, silverware. The separate laundry leads off from the kitchen and has a large capacity washer & dryer, iron and ironing board.
All beds have comfortable mattresses, good quality linens and quilts. The Master bedroom is on the main floor, adjacent to the living area. It has king size bed and its own private bathroom. Bedroom two has on the upper floor has two twin beds with comfortable mattress. The mezzanine floor has incredible views out over the water and works equally well as a third Bedroom or as a quiet place to sit back and relax, read a good book, or just watch the sailboats go by.

All along the island you will find bike paths, marinas, water sports, sailboats, tennis courts and broad sweeping expanses of peaceful uncrowded beaches overlooking the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Quaint turn-of-the-century fishing piers are a great place to drop a fishing line, walk off a sumptuous meal or pass the time of day with the locals. Our protected beaches are home to loggerhead turtles, pelicans and herons and it is common to see dolphins playing in the waters of the Gulf.
Dining on the island is a culinary adventure with everything from casual beach cafes for breakfast or lunch, to fine restaurants with an international reputation. There are plenty of small shops and boutiques to browse around for gifts, craft items, silver and distinctive casual clothes. Just over on the mainland is the vibrant city of Bradenton and with Tampa and Orlando just a drive away, you can easily spend a day at Disney or Busch Gardens.

Waters Edge Cottage is situated on a quiet street on the north end of Bradenton Beach and it is directly on the water overlooking the bay waters of Anna Maria Sound. The grounds are landscaped with flowering hibiscus and tropical plants with a white picket fence and stairs leading fron the brick paved parking area up to the wraparound deck.
From the living area, go out through the sliders on to your wrap around deck, then just wander down the walkway and directly on to your own private boat and fishing dock that extends out into the bay waters. Sit out and enjoy an evening cocktail, fish, watch the boats sail by and catch sight of the dolphins which swim in the waters here. Occasionally you may catch a glimpse of the elusive manatee. Grab an early morning cup of coffee and watch egrets and herons while viewing one of Florida's spectacular sunrises. It doesn’t get any better than this!

Low Season Price : £1000 High Season Price : £1400 per Week
A $250 non refundable fee is charged to your credit card at the time of booking. This is part of the total cost of your reservation. A 25% deposit is payable within seven days of receipt of the reservation form. Final balance due must be received by 90 days prior to arrival. If the reservation is made within the 90 days prior to arrival, the full payment is due and payable immediately. All funds should made payable to Anna Maria Vacations. (For non US residents the accommodation is quoted in US dollars. Any amounts quoted in UK pounds or Euros are for guidance purposes. The US dollar rate prevails.) In the event of cancellation refunds are subject to Anna Maria Vacations’ ability to re-rent the property for the dates you reserved.
