The area has a wide variety of restaurants (Outback, Ruby Tuesday, Roadhouse, Olive Garden, to name a few), shopping (Lakeshore Mall, Wal-Mart, Michaels, Marshalls, Ross; there are more) and grocery stores (Publix, Wal-Mart, Winn-Dixie and Sweetbay). The downtown historic district is less than a mile from the home. Sebring International Raceway is less than 7 miles away. Disney, Sea-World and Universal are only a 90 mile drive. Or, if you prefer, you can reach either coast within 2 hours. Lake Jackson offers a 12 mile bike/walking path around the lake. Hammock State Park is just up the street and offers scenic natural habitat walking trails. Sebring is a golfer and fisherman's paradise. Highlands county offers over 13 golf courses and 80 named lakes. Lake Okeechobee is known as the bass capital of the world.
