Vacation Rental Description
Captain Grant's was built in 1754 and is the prominent home in Historic Poquetanuck Village. All rooms have private baths. Three has gas fireplaces and two have wood burning fireplaces. Each room has a carafe of sherry. As a bed and breakfast, breakfast is served by the fire in winter and on the outdoor deck in summer. When the entire home is reserved by one party, dinner can be catered family style. In the summer our clam bake is most populare with bar-b-que ribs and chicken being a fall favorite. 
 
For family gatherings, we have a professional 36" stove and 2r cubic foot refridgerator. All that is needed for your stay is provided. 
 
For all of our guests we provide maps, discounts to Mystic Seaport, the Marine Life Aquarium and the Pequot Museum. In Addition we have perks at four local restaurants. This includes a free glass of wine or dessert.

    • We are located directly between the two largest Casinos in the world, Foxwoods and The Mohegan Sun. We are conveniently located near The Groton Subamrine Base and The US Coast Guard Academy. There are numerous activities for Children such as Project Oceanology and Natures Art a dinasaur park for children. We are directly in between the areas two beaches, Ocean Beach Park and Miquamicut. In Mystic there is the Marine life Aquarium and Mystic Seaport plus a historic town with with wonderful unique shopping. Antique shops are everywhere as well as restaurants and places to just sit and be yourself. 
     
    Captain Grant's is surrounded by fields and rolling hills on two sides and historic homes on the other two.
