Pot Rock is serviced by city water but no other shore connected utilities can be found. There is propane for cooking, hot water and refrigeration. 12 volt solar lighting. and a small portable back up generator to run 110 volt occasional tools and the like. The house face south to wide open Long Island Sound. There is a floating dock on the sheltered side and a wooded path to the cottage. Cars are left on the main land. Trains run regularly to New Haven (9 miles away) with some additional cars going to Branford (2.5 miles away). Pot Rock is 1 mile off shore and a stay there is a some what remote getaway.
