An abundance of outdoor activities make Pagosa Springs a nature lover's paradise. Lake species include rainbow trout, brown trout, largemouth bass, perch and others. From the huge deck, there is a greater than 180' view of mountains, and a telescope (with stand) is provided for better viewing. River fishing is available in town on the San Juan River. The quality waters of the San Juan below Navajo Lake is world renowned for the incredible trout fly fishing. Trophy hunting is available in the San Juans. Wolf Creek Ski area boasts the most snow in Colorado, with an average of over 600 inches per year! Come play in the mountains and stay in the middle of it all in Pagosa Springs. The Wolf Creek Ski Area is about 36 miles away and the roads are always kept clean. This ski area gets more snow than any other ski area in Colorado, on average. You will not want to leave!
