If you like the cool Rocky Mountain air, beautiful aspen and fir forests, you may enjoy this little gem of a chalet. It is located in Lost Valley, just above Pagosa Springs, and is surrounded by thousands of acres of National Forest on all sides.
The cabin looks at Pagosa Peak. Nestled between forest and an alpine meadow this 1300 square foot, two storey chalet combines solitude and high mountain expansive views. It has limitless access to mountain trails and restful evening lakeside strolls. Aspen Chalet can comfortable accommodate from two to four guests although it can stretch to six if need be. It is a new cabin and is quite comfortable with a modern kitchen and barbeque on the deck overlooking the lake.
The cabin in an amazing place to watch the changing of the leaves because you right in the middle of them. The end of September beginning of October is a magically time of year in Lost Valley
You can hike and perhaps catch a glimspe of a herd of elk, bear, weasles, eagles, or porcupines. Or go take a soak in the hot mineral springs in town and retreat into this world that time has left unspoiled. It truly is a place where you can reconnect with nature and leave the world behind.
