Vacation Rental Description
The 4 Corners is a wonderful place to relax, renew, and reacquaint yourself with blue sky by day and thousands of stars at night -- and spectacular fall colors -- and more! Mesa Verde National Park, ancient home of the Anasazi Indians who built villages in the cliff alcoves, attracts most folks to Mancos, but stay long enough to enjoy hikes in the national forest, rafting on the river, art galleries,an old fashioned historic train ride to Silverton. Summers are filled with more and more music and art, good to great restaurants, micro brews and local wine. Use Sundance Bear as your base camp for multiple day trips: Moab, Telluride, Pagosa Springs, Chaco Canyon are all within 2 hour drive. Golf in Durango, Farmington and Cortez. Come -- make some memories -- we are open all year. The Lodge is our B&B facility -- two rooms with baths and breakfast. The great room is open for all to enjoy TV, books, board games and our pets!
The log cabin is across the pond and couples love it! Room for 4 with a small kitchen; B&B service optional.
The Guest House is perfect when the whole gang comes along. 2 king beds, 2 queens, 1 single and a sofa plus a full, well equipped kitchen and about 1700 sq.ft of space. We call it casual western luxury! The Guest House can also rent as 2 separate units, and is self cater only ---so enjoy your breakfast on the deck in your PJs at whatever time you prefer. The kitchen comes stocked with some basics like coffee, tea, cocoa and pancake mix.
All buildings have wireless access to internet; we have a spare lap top if you don't bring one.
We have a lending library of books, DVD and video tapes.
Our resident family includes 2 cats, 2 dogs, 2 horses and 2 hosts!Our pets are not allowed in the cabins.
There is fun for all ages in the 4 Corners region of Colorado.

Activities
When was the last time you had a chuckwagon supper (plus musical show)? Have you attended a rodeo? Come and enjoy the Old West along with the ancient history of the Anasazai Indians. Western art is also wonderful here with Durango and Mancos hosting stunning galleries.
Take a mountain horseback ride in the heat of summer or a canyon ride in the cool of spring and fall. Mesa Verde National Park is the only US national park dedicated to culture and history. But there is more to see at Canyon of the Ancients, Chaco Canyon, Hovenweep and Aztec. Follow Trail of the Ancients around the 4 Corners; it will involve all 4 states in the next few years. The day trips around here take you into Navajo desert and tall pine mountain forest. We have it all in SW Colorado! Spend a day along the San Juan Scenic Byway where very turn in the road is another wonderful picture for the memory book.

The rural western slope of Colorado is a well kept secret;we have everything from oil/gas exploration to micro-breweries, vineyards, incredible mountain scenery, Indian lands and plenty of archaeological sites, the most famous of these being Mesa Verde National Park. Spend a whole vacation in the SW corner of Colorado! Sundance Bear Lodge is 30 min. from Durango, 15 min. from Dolores (McPhee lake), 5 min. from Mancos which is the gateway to Measa Verde. SUMMER:No minimum stay but cleaning fee $35 applies to one night stay. WINTER: 2 night stay minimum. Short stay reservations okay. Pet ok with notice at time of initial reservation; dog only. Check in after 3:30p.m. Check out 11 a.m. Payment MC/Discover/Visa/Amex, traveler check, cash. Whole house rental $280/day winter; $335/day summer. Unit 1 is 4135 for 2 ($10 extra person) . Unit 2 is $230 for 4 ($10 extra person). Sole occupant $280. Summer weekly rate $325/night; save $70! All bedding, towels included.
