The Adagio retreat is an exquisite vintage house built in the early 1900’s in La Veta Colorado. It is located on the historic Highway Of Legends at 818 Oak Street. It has views of the Spanish Peaks and a great front porch to watch the world from. It is a 5-minute walk to the golf course and close to all local food establishments. The Adagio’s warmth and charm allows you to feel as though you have stepped back in time to a casual more relaxed time. This house was historical in that it was the classy Italian house of its time. We offer rooms on daily, weekend and week basis. There is a barbeque on the porch in the back. You can play croquet on the back lawn in an enclosed backyard. There is a kitchen with all of the amenities and a classic bathroom with a claw foot tub.

The La Veta and Curchara area offer lots of activities. In the summer there is golfing, fishing, hiking, biking, and camping. In the winter there is cross country skiing and snow shoeing and sledding. Taking a drive up the scenic Highways of Legends and look for Big Horned Sheep on the valley’s Dike walls.
There is a wonderful massage therapist right next door if you have sore muscles and want to nurture yourself.

Cooking, Art or Quilting classes happen in town on a regular basis.
Artists and writers often retreat here for a couple of weeks. La Veta is a place with a powerful beauty and equally strong legends.

The Adagio can also be used as a conference center. Behind the house is a remodeled adobe building. It is a great space for meeting or if you need more room to sleep people it can sleep an additional 3 people. If you rent house and conference room you can sleep up to 11 people in beds.
Rates vary depending on numbers of people and rooms used. General rates for the house begin at $155.00 for one night and go to $400 a night a use of the entire facility.
Weekly rates begin at $800 and go to $2,000.

Step back into a time when the world moved at a slower pace! This four bedroom, three baths home is perfect for relaxing and taking in the charm of the La Veta/Cuchara area. Also featured in this home are a dining room, study, full kitchen, and full bath including an authentic claw foot bathtub. Just step off of your porch and have an easy walk to the award winning Grandote Peaks Golf Course, and the local Pub/ restaurant. Simply perfect for those who want an escape from their fast-paced lifestyle to small town hospitality. Beds are comfortable and feather pillows are available.

Prices depend on the amount of people using the house. The rates listed are for 2 people. Prices go up as more of the house is used. The range is $155 a night to $400 a night if you use the conference room. There is a $300 damage deposit that is returned to you if the house is left undamaged. There is a $100 to $150 cleaning fee depending on how many people are using the house. Cancellation policy: We hold $200 if a time is held and then canceled. We accept checks and can do credit cards with pay pal. Nightly, weekly and monthly rates are available.
