Location: South Fork, South Central, Colorado, USA (5 Miles East of South Fork, 25 Miles to Wolf Creek Ski Area) View Map Accommodations: House, 3 Bedrooms + Loft, 2.5 Baths (Sleeps 8-10)
New Golden Eagle 2-story log home with a home theater on an 8.3 acre lot that borders the Rio Grande National Forest on its north side.
The home has 3 bedrooms with 2 queen and 1 king bedroom sets with Sealy and memory foam mattresses, respectively, plus a convertible futon sofa/queen bed in the loft.
The open kitchen is great for entertaining and features stainless steel appliances, a pop-up downdraft range hood and granite bar/counter tops with 4 barstools. The dining room set can seat 6 people.
The great room has a wood fireplace, a reclining leather sectional and a 67" full high definition home theater LED DLP TV with a 5.1 Dolby HD surround system that includes Definitive Technology Procinema speakers and an easy-to-use color touch screen-based unified remote for one-touch control of common activities.
The Playstation 3 is PS3 game-ready, wireless high-speed Internet (B,G,N) connected, includes a web browser and it also plays CD music, regular DVD movies or Blu-ray HD DVDs.
Whether you are skiing at the nearby Wolf Creek ski area, fishing the fabulous trout on the Rio Grande river, enjoying a workout or some other activity at the beautiful and extensive Rio Grande Club, hunting or on some other trek in the adjoining Rio Grande National Forest, or out to explore the splendor of the other nearby natural Colorado wonders, this home can be a relaxing place to come back to and rejuvenate.
Facilities
RIO GRANDE CLUB GUEST MEMBERSHIP for simple usage fees, such as $10-15/day facility-use guest fee or a discount per round of 9 or 18 holes of golf (if played & some restrictions apply). Property borders the Rio Grande National Forest and is about 4 blocks from the Rio Grande River, where fishing access to the river is available at various locations shown on the "Fishing the Rio Grande" map.
Activities
The Rio Grande Golf course is beautifully designed and quite an experience to golf with some holes starting high on a hill and descending, and others that cross the Rio Grande river. The club has a separate clubhouse dedicated to fishing and fabulous gourmet dining. The Rio Grande river is a lot of fun to raft. Nearby horseback riding has breathtaking scenery. The 4x4 and mountain biking trails are numerous, beautiful and scenic. A small hill with great views is on the property and the property borders the Rio Grande Forest for longer outings.
One CD music play mode has video/graphics in high definition of various perspectives from outer space of flying around and orbiting our planet - very cool Earth continent/feature views. Weather permitting, the 8200 foot altitude and very low surrounding community light offers incredibly clear star views at night.

"We are just back from our stay at your beautiful log home. It was everything the VRBO listing stated it would be and more! The drive to and from the Ski Resort was beautiful and the location of your home was distant enough to offer privacy, while not being totally secluded. We had a wonderful time. I forgot to mention in my earlier e-mail the pretty little bluebird that took up residence on your deck, much to the delight of our two toddlers! It was very brave and didn't fly away even during their squeals of laughter. What a great entertainer he turned out to be. And we all enjoyed watching the mule deer make their trek up and down the mountain each morning and afternoon."
