Today's steam-powered narrow gauge train traverses its way over the restored Devil's Gate High Bridge, looming 95 feet above Clear Creek. Black Hawk and Central City are located in the Rocky Mountains, about 35 miles west of Denver at an elevation of approximately 8500 feet.
