Vacation Rental Description
Thors Cove Cottage is located beside the eastern end of Desolation Sound Marine Park. Desolation Sound Marine Park is a beautiful yachting area and frequented by boaters from all over the west coast of British Columbia and Washington State. Thors Cove Cottage is located above the beach in a grassy clearing surrounded by towering firs and alders. The wharf in the cove is 5 minutes walk to the cottage and the sandy beach is a 3 minute walk away from the cottage. Guests can walk for many miles both north and south on easily accessable trails above the cottage.
Theodosia, Lancelot and Okeover Inlets can be viewed from the trails.
Thynne Island Seafoods is also located in Thors Cove and farm tours with sampling of farmed raised mussels, oysters and clams are available.
Thors Cove beach is suitable for swimming in the summer with warm ocean temperatures in late July and August.

Thors Cove Cottage is fully equipped for self catering including an outdoor bbque.
4 mountain bikes, croquet, horseshoes and screened waterside gazebo are also provided.
20 miles of hiking trails both north and south provide many spectular views of surrounding inlets.
Cottage is 7 miles from Okeover Inlet Harbour. The return water taxi to Thors Cove is included in the rental price.
Thors Cove is in a protected bay with warm summer ocean temperatures suitable for swimming. Wharf in the cove provides a 20 foot berth for guests who arrive in their own boats. Kayaks can be rented beside Okeover Inlet Wharf and the 7 mile paddle trip takes up to 2 hours through protected waters teeming with bird and marine mammal life. Luggage can be transported aboard the water taxi for those guests wishing to kayak into Thors Cove Cottage.

Cottage Rental Rates

Low Season Price : $140
High Season Price : $175 per Week


Cottage rents in winter: Sept 15 to May 31 for $145 per day, minimum 2 day rental, 4 person occupancy. Additional guests cost $10 per person. $900 per week.
Cottage rents in summer: June 1 to Sept 14 for $175 per day, minimum 2 day rental, 4 person occupancy. Additional guests cost $10 per person. $1100 per week.
Cash or Cheque only and a mail in deposit of 2 days rental to secure booking is required.
A damage deposit of $200 is required upon arrival.
Cancellation notice of 20 days is required, unless extreme circumstances apply.
