Located on a quiet, very safe, residential street in the North Berkeley Hills, this comfortable accommodation is up one flight of stairs, with private entrance.  
 
The tranquil, non-smoking room has hardwood floors and is fully furnished in calm, serene tones. There are plenty of windows and natural light. Kitchen, bath and dining area overlook a large vegetable garden and have a bit of a view of the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco Bay and Marin's Mt. Tamalpias in the distance. 
 
You'll hear the bells chiming from the U.C. Berkeley Campanile on the hour and the birds and squirrels the rest of the time. Later at night, you may run into a family of deer passing you along the street. 
 
The studio is perfect for a visiting professor or other calm, relaxed persons. Also great for hosting extra guests for the holidays or special family events, or anyone wanting the comforts of home for a short or extended stay. Owners live on the property in the main house.

Queen bed, futon sofa (folds out to double bed), linens, blankets, comfy feather pillows and warm down comforters. Dresser, full closet (with iron and ironing board). Desk with hi-speed wireless internet connection, phone with private line for local or incoming calls (for long-distance calls please use your phone card). No TV - take a break! Dining area has seating for 2, and the table opens out to seat 4. Outdoor seating for two on new redwood balcony, partially tree-shaded, faces street. Kitchen is fully equipped with all you need: dishes, flatware and cutlery, linens, pots and pans; classic Wedgewood gas range, refrigerator, toaster oven, coffee maker. All linens are also included. Bath has toilet, basin and shower; no tub. Towels, hair dryer and toiletries included. New quiet gas space heater. Natural air conditioning: open the windows for a breeze off the bay! It's a 4 block walk to the University of California at Berkeley and the bus line to the Lawrence Berkeley Lab. It's a 20 minute walk through redwoods and eucalyptus forests of the campus to Downtown Berkeley and all the activities of the town. From there you can easily catch the BART (train) to San Francisco or the SFO and OAK airports and many other Bay Area points of interest. Late at night, you can catch a cab back up the hill. 
 
We're a 10 minute walk from the Berkeley Rose Garden and tennis courts at Cordinices Park, and just a few blocks from the colleges of the Graduate Theological Union. 
 
We're just up the hill from the famous as well as newer Gourmet Ghetto restaraunts (Chez Panisse and The Cheesboard Collective, Cesar's, Geurilla Cafe, Crepevine, Massey's Pastry) and shops (Andronico's grocery, Longs drugstore, ACCI Gallery, The Walking Shop and dress shops along Vine street and more).

				Low Season Price:	$150 per Day
				High Season Price:	$150 per Day

Monthly stay: $3000 for one or two persons, $500 each per additional guest, up to 4 guests total. For shorter stays: $150 per night ($1050/week) for one or two persons; $20 per night for each additional guest, up to 4 guests total. Minimum stay: 2 days One half rental fee (or for longer stays, the first month's rental fee) plus $300 security deposit will reserve the accommodation. Remainder due on arrival. Security deposit will be returned within 7 days of the end of your stay, less $50 cleaning fee plus charge for any damage or outages.
