Vacation Rental Description
Sitting at the top of Point Loma in an affluent, established neighborhood is this gorgeous mid-century modern home designed and built by an architect, for himself, who studied under FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT'S son. Extremely unique; it is called the TRIANGLE HOUSE, as the majority of floor to ceiling windows are triangles! It is very open yet warm and comfortable. The modern kitchen (with Viking range, Miele dishwasher, granite counters), living room, master bedroom and bath are on the main level along with an 18'x 20' deck overlooking the San Diego Bay, America Cup Harbor, San Diego Int'l Airport, and downtown San Diego. Everything from aircraft carriers to Cup boats, sailing dinghies, fishing boats and cruise liners give one a constantly changing parade. A silver fox, a couple of raccoons, a hawk, lots of blue jays and-well a very good looking skunk-all pass through the property on occasion. The second bedroom with it's own (gas0 fireplace is on the lower level. it has it's own bathroom and has a gorgeous view from it's private deck. A lovely detached artist/music/writer studio or office with beautiful views is the third bedroom. A beautifully designed copper covered brick fireplace (gas) is in the Living Room. There is a one car garage and two additional parking spaces. The home is located at the end of a cul-de-sac and on a lush canyon. Sitting nearly tree top level, you are surrounded with a gorgeous morning chorus of bird songs. Once you walk through the gate, you are in a totally private, gentle, serene retreat that will refresh your heart, mind and soul.
