One half of the rent down, with contract, will hold a reservation. The balance of the rent, tax and security deposit are due 30 days prior to arrival. Cashier's checks & money orders are accepted. (Current tax is 10.5%, but subject to change. Security deposit is between $200 - $500)
Cancellation Policy:
Notices must be in writing.
Cancellations received 30 days or more before arrival date, 1/2 of the rent deposit will be retained. If we are able to re-rent the house, the balance of the deposit, less $100 will be refunded.
Cancellations received 29 days or less before arrival, all monies paid toward rent and tax will be retained. If the house is re-rented, all monies less $100 will be refunded.
During the months of June, July and August, rentals are a one week minimum running Saturday to Saturday. Check in is 3:00 p.m. or later. Check out is 10:00 a.m.
Security deposits are refunded once the telephone bill is cleared.
Meet the owner...
Once in awhile I'm asked the question, "Do you work?" and I reply, well, yes... I'm a receptionist, bookkeeper, concierge, handy"man", gardener, and housekeeper. That applies to my job as a wife and mother, but also to my job as the owner of a vacation rental! And now that our kids have grown and moved out, I can devote more of my time to keeping the hospitality business running instead of running the PTA meetings.
After 8 years in the property management and vacation rental business in Mission Beach, I told my husband, "It's time we had our own vacation rental instead of managing everyone else's!" So, we bought our beach house, did an extensive remodel and have kept our visiting guests happy since 1997. Living only 2 beaches away in Point Loma keeps us close at hand to oversee our investment. We are "hands on!"
Vacationing in Mission Beach means vacationing in the heart of San Diego's "playground". The nice part of staying at The Beach House is the quiet and privacy you are afforded by staying on a side court on the bayside of South Mission. The house is only steps away to the waterfronts as Mission Beach is only a block wide, yet you escape the noise of the waterfront action and the "living in a fish bowl" feeling you might often feel on those busy waterfront walkways. You really have the best of both worlds at our vacation home.
