Within a few blocks you can find restaurants, the HSU Marine lab, the Beachcomber coffeehouse, a market, small shops and Katy’s (famous fish market) Smokehouse. Or walk down the hill to kayak in the same bay you see from the house, walk on another clean beach, or take a comfortable, gorgeous 50-minute loop hike around the majestic Trinidad Head. Ample, easily accessed local recreational activities include beachcombing, hiking, surfing, bicycling, bird watching and wildlife viewing. A half hour drive North takes you to the State and National Redwood Park systems with numerous enchanted walks/hikes in the ancient redwood forests, or go Jetboating on the Klamath River. **NOTE: There is a $25 additional fee per night for more than 4 people.**
