Vacation Rental Description
The Topanga Canyon Inn is a private, discreet and luxurious Bed and Breakfast in the Santa Monica Mountains. We have eight guest rooms and one large suite dedicated as a Vacation Rental. We are adjacent to Topanga State Park and located on a private road only fifteen minutes to the beaches of Malibu/Topanga/Santa Monica to the south or Tiffany & Company and several up, up, upscale, malls to the north. Beverly Hills is just over the hill and Malibu is just down the hill. Hollywood is just down the road. Fine dining and attractions, too numerous to mention, are everywhere. If you are staying in L.A., this is the place to be.
Your hosts are Warren and Elena Roché. Warren is a retired studio musician who took up a second career as a builder. He designed and built the Topanga Canyon Inn. Elena is an artist with an international reputation for extraordinary floral watercolors. She works in all mediums and paints a wide variety of subjects. Her paintings, including many local plein air scenes in oil, grace the walls of the Inn and are available for purchase. The Inn doubles as one of her gallery outlets and she is available for lessons during your stay.
All of our eight generous-sized B&B rooms have either private or en suite baths. There are four sitting rooms with fireplaces and refreshments are always available.
Our Vacation Rental is called the Ozzie and Harriet Suite. It has a queen size bed and a convertible Morris Chair/single bed in the bedroom. The living room has a sofa that makes into a double bed and there is a curtained alcove with a single bed. The bathroom has a shower, no bathtub. There is a dining table and a kitchenette with a frig where you can prepare tea/coffee, etc. and a toaster and microwave. The decorating is in the Arts and Crafts/Mission Style and is new as of June, 2011.
Parking, local and long distance phone calls and wireless internet is provided free of charge. If you like to mountain bike, hike, horseback ride, nature watch and geocache, there is a free Park entrance 1/4 mile away. There are forty miles of trails and at least 300 geocaches within walking distance of our Inn.

Facilities
Our eight B&B guest rooms are inspired by the great romantic couples of 1930's Hollywood: Fred and Ginger, Clark Gable and Carol Lombard, Nick and Nora of the Thin Man Movies, Rhett and Scarlett, Tracy and Hepburn, Bogey and Bacall, Tarzan and Jane and that torrid couple, Sylvia and Ramon. Our Vacation Rental is named after that '50s couple, Ozzie and Harriet, parents of David and Ricky Nelson. This generous-sized suite with kitchenette and dining sleeps up to six and may be rented for one night at $220, two or more nights up to six nights at $200/night, $1300/one week, $2450/two weeks, $3150/three weeks and $3750/month. For more than two people add $20/night per person for one to six nights and $5/night per person for stays of a week or more.
Activities
Our Inn is located in one of the very few golden spots on planet Earth. For example, in winter you can choose whether you want to go to the nearby mountains to ski or the nearby beach to surf. Mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, geocaching and nature and bird spotting starts at our Inn. Fabulous shopping is just over the hill. Rodeo Drive is over two hills. There are several marinas if you like to boat or fish. All the major theme parks, like Disneyland, are within an hour's drive. The place is crawling with movie stars. Even your host has been in movies, on T.V. and has played on numerous hit records. The Inn has been used in numerous location shoots for movies and TV.

- Nearest Airport : Los Angeles LAX at 20 miles distance;
- Nearest Train Station : Van Nuys Amtrac Station at 15 miles distance
- Nearest Town : Los Angeles at 1 miles distance
- Travel Info: Los Angeles is unique in that it is a city divided by a mountain range, the Santa Monica Mountains. On the south side is the Los Angeles Basin and on the north is the San Fernando Valley. Topanga is in the mountains midway between these urban giants. We are just up the hill from Malibu on the coast and Woodland Hills on the Valley side. Public transportation is excellent in the L.A. Basin and the Valley, but not in Topanga, even though it is a major connector of these areas. If you don't have a car, you will need one, whether rented or hired. Jenise Blanc of Canyon Car Service and Jennie at TopangAGoGo know the area and surroundings and will be pleased to assist you with chauffeured car service.

There is no minimum stay. To secure your reservation, we accept all major credit cards. We may charge 50% of your total stay. Your advance payment guarantees all days of your stay. Our cancellation policy is as follows: Should you need to cancel all or part of your reservation, we must receive notice no less than 7 days prior to your scheduled arrival date. All cancellations are subject to a $25 processing fee. Cancellations received less than 7 days prior to your current arrival date will be non-refundable unless we can resell your room and you will be responsible for payment of any nights not resold. This policy pertains to early check outs as well. Holiday reservations are subject to a thirty (14) day cancellation policy. Our Inn has two rooms that are wheelchair accessible. The remainder are not, including the Ozzie and Harriet, due to stairs. Until your reservation is confirmed rates are subject to change without notice.
