Beautiful 45 minute drive to Yosemite National Park along the Merced River canyon. 1 hour to Bass Lake.

This cabin is the ideal compromise of a woodsy, mountain cabin and a modern, attractively-furnished vacation house. It's tucked away among lofty pines, cedars and oak trees, away from urban hubbub and traffic, where there are only the sounds of birds, the breezes through the branches and occasional woodland creatures.

Special area interest features include photography, bird watching, rock collecting, gold panning, fishing, rock climbing as well as exploring historic places with Native American lore and folk art and crafts. Within an hour's drive, other activities are available, such as kayaking, rafting and other water sports; golfing, horseback riding; snow sports in winter; and shopping, antiquing, museums, and wine tasting in the many near by wineries. We have great restaurants in Mariposa also.

Bring your bikes, hiking boots, fishing gear, binoculars, cameras, and other equipment and plan on a relaxing, carefree vacation - for a weekend, a week, or longer.

Recently opened Horse Hostel less than 1 mile away. Bring your horses and explore some of the most beautiful area in the Gold Country. Miles of trails to ride.

All of the activities listed are available within a 1 hour drive from the house. Mariposa is the home of The California State Mining and Mineral Museum. We have a History center in town that will answer any of your gold mining history questions. There are also local wineries close by for you to explore.

We also charge a 1 time non refundable cleaning fee of $75.00 each stay, $100.00 cleaning fee with pet. Also 11% county tax will be added to rental fee. and $250.00 refundable security deposit at time of booking.
