Vacation Rental Description
A perfect mix of elegance of a California era gone by and the technologies of the future. This estate has 5 bedrooms, 5 full bathrooms, 4 half bathrooms, including a three bedroom /two bath guest house with living room, dinning room and kitchen. The property boasts 10,000 square feet of living area on 1.55 acres. Built in 2000 on the site of a historic Date garden, it was designed by Juan Carlos Ochoa and Steven De Christopher Jr. Flowers and citrus fruit trees have been added to the garden to make it more spectacular. 
 
The walled Estate is entered through private gates with a drive that bends gently toward the house. There is a lagoon with a waterfall and a paddleboat (and a family of Mallard ducks). The large pool and spa are covered in beautiful ceramic tilework, and the sunken tennis court vies for your attention an indoor/outdoor terrace and dinning gazebo with a barbequ. 
 
The entrance is a covered with a porte cochere with a Colonial Spanish fountain adjacent to a 3 car garage and a large circular driveway. The property is guarded by a smart home security system. 
 
An inside atrium boasts 17 foot windows looking out a larger than life-size sculpture. There are both formal and informal living room and formal and informal dinning rooms (the Baronial formal dinning room has vaulted ceilings); supplied by a gourmet Tuscany country kitchen that boasts a Sub-Zero refrigerator, A Dacor range and cooktop, and a Miele dishwasher. The house’s southern exposure gives dramatic mountain views. 
 
Three full-service bars are found in the main house, one on each floor. Hand-crafted cabinetry from Glashaus and rare marbles and granites are found throughout the house as well. Bull-nosed corners and smooth, clean matte walls soften and welcome you, combining grandeur with comfort. 
 
The ground level provides a home theater, wine vault and game room. The master suite on the first floor has its own sitting room and fireplace. A fin de siecle stairway leads up to a second floor library with three sitting decks overlooking gardens, pond and mountains. The luxurious second bedroom has its own patio overlooking the pond.
