When it's sunny, drinks by the pool, quiet time on the veranda with a book, watching the sun rise or set and enjoying some good barbecue with friends and family. When it's stormy – get cozy on the couch with a fire crackling away, a home cooked meal with a glass of wine while you watch the clouds roll in over the dramatic landscape, framed by the huge picture windows. Rancho Loco also affords extra privacy with separate living quarters, the cozy & bright main house and the open & airy studio. 
 
Located on its own secluded 20 acres, minutes from Joshua Tree National Park, Rancho Loco offers 360º views with over 50 Joshua trees, yuccas and native desert foliage all on the property. Situated between the two houses is a salt water swimming pool with an observation deck, perfect for sunset viewing, outdoor dining, and maybe even a skinny dip under the stars. Rancho Loco is a rustic modern take of a 1920s ranch house updated to today's standards including solar power as its primary source of energy and water drawn from a private on-site well! 
 
Rancho Loco is a great affordable base no matter what your interests are – rock-climbing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, model rocket launching [our fave], novel writing or just relaxing by the pool. Charcoal BBQ Grill, Deck Patio, Gazebo(Raised platform that over looks the pool and the westward view) Wood Stove: There is a wood burning stove in the main house and in the studio. Beds: Queen Bed(2), Twin/Single Bed(2), Convertible Bed Private Pool : Salt water pool is located between the studio and the main house. Completely enclosed by a wooden fence. Pool is not heated. Season runs approximately May through September.
