Views of the ocean and walking distance to the beach. Two bedroom, two bathroom, spacious layout with a large eat in kitchen great room, formal dining room, living room with fireplace. Newly remodeled and re-decorated gourmet kitchen and great room. This stylish cottage beach house has all new appliances. The great room walks out onto a split level deck. Have dinner on the upper porch with a view of the ocean and lagoon.

This house is just one block to the beach. Santa Maria’s(21st ave) is one of the most beautiful beaches in Santa Cruz with surfing, boogie boarding, skim boarding and great for long walks. Explore the tide pools to find sea anemones, sea urchins and watch the otters play. This location is close to the Boardwalk, Pleasure Point, and 41st Ave where you will find a variety of surf shops and restaurants. Minutes from Capitola Beach and the Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor were you will find beach volleyball, kayaks rentals, and great restaurants.

Amenities include a full gourmet kitchen, fireplace, plasma TV with VCR/ DVD player, gas BBQ, washer and dryer, linens, down comforters, feather pillows and towels, except for beach towels. A security deposit and cleaning charge are required.

For larger parties there is a one bedroom, one bath guest house adjacent to this house. Guest house is rental separately.

The house is an 80-year house, which has a lot of character. It is newly redecorated and remodeled. It has all new appliances. It is a truly charming beach bungalow. The beach can be seen from the back porch and is only a one-block walk to the water. The house is located close to all the attractions in Santa Cruz. and the beach is wonderful. We hope you decide to come and stay at Hale Kai. Everyone who has stayed there has had a wonderful time!

Running: For a great 5.5-mile run along the water take East Cliff Drive and run south to Capitola village and back. T Its about 3 miles round trip to Pleasure Point. If you like to run on the sand, the beach in front of the house is 0.6 miles end to end so do as many laps as you like; its best at low tide.

Biking: You can rent bikes at the Family Cyclery at 914 41st Ave. Its an easy 3 mile ride to the boardwalk form the house and sure beats the parking.

Volleyball: There are nets set up on the beach in front of the Crow’s Nest at the Yacht Harbor and there are at least 10 courts on the beach just north of the Boardwalk.

Boardwalk: This is the 102nd anniversary of the Santa Cruz Boardwalk, which has all kinds of rides/attractions for kids of all ages. They also have live concerts on the beach every Friday evening. Just 3 miles north of the house go to http://www.beachboardwalk.com
