Vacation Rental Description
Walk Downtown or To The Beach
Description: This townhouse is in a charming Queen Anne Victorian duplex situated behind our 140 year old home, one of Santa Barbara’s oldest Victorians, which was built in the mid 1800’s. We restored the house in 1998.
Completed in 2001 in the same style as the main house, the townhouse boasts a tower, complete with “witches cap”. It is tastefully furnished with an eclectic mix of family heirlooms and new craftsman style furniture.
Features include hand-inlaid wood floors, a bay window/window-seat, and a fireplace in the living room. Both units have decks.
The “A” open-air deck is 20 ft by 25ft, furnished with glass-topped wrought iron table and 6 chairs, occasional seating and lounge chairs – ideal for a BBQ, board games, and sunbathing.
The “B” covered deck is cozily ensconced in the tower creating a wonderful outdoor room. Situated just off the kitchen, the deck can become a private retreat for morning coffee, an outdoor room that's just perfect for a luncheon, a bridge game, an intimate candlelit dinner, or a nightcap.
These are 2 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath units, each on two floors, with sleeping capacity for up to 6. There is a king bed in the master; and twin beds in the second bedroom. The living room couch is a futon that can be made into a double bed. The two bedrooms are upstairs above the living area and have cathedral ceilings.

Owner Location Comment
Santa Barbara is a beautiful city; and, a popular vacation destination. Because our coast faces south, we have a mild climate year that is very similar to that of the French Riviera. That is why our nickname is The American Riviera. Although the population of Santa Barbara is only 90,000 +/-, we have many cultural assets including a beautiful international airport, 4 universities, a world class community college, an opera company, a symphony, several ballet companies, an FM station, museums, superb restaurants that rival any elsewhere, beautiful architecture, proximity to wine country, The Hearst Castle, and everything in the greater Los Angeles area. Plan a visit sometime. You will be glad your did!
