    • Hearst Castle is 20 min. north as well as a seal colony. Just north of the seal colony is "Piedras Blancas Lighthouse. They offer tours, 805/927-6811. The charming town of "Cambria" is just north and is a must to see. Enjoy antiques, eat in one of its' many great restaurants and shop!! The largest city is San Luis Obispo 25 min. to the south. This again is great shopping, restaurants, cinemas, farmers market on Thursday evening with music, food and fun for all. One of the best wine areas (known by many to rival Napa) is right at your back door in Paso Robles (hwy.46)approx. 25 min. and you're in the heart of it, not to mention the beautiful drive. Monterey-Carmel and back is a day trip. There is so much to see and do that it could take you far more time that you've planned on.
