3 Bedroom Cabin in Big Sur

Described as the greatest meeting of land and sea on earth, the Big Sur region offers breathtaking views of the Pacific along its 72 mile stretch. The Big Sur Cabin, located at the rugged southern end of Big Sur, offers guests a chance to stay, relax, and view some of this world reknown treasure. This 2 1/2 story cabin offers unsurpassed views from all windows and two decks. The cabin is located 45 minutes south of the Big Sur Village and 45 minutes north of Hearst Castle. For guests seeking an ACTIVE vacation, the beach is 5 minutes away for picnicing, surfing, sunning, fishing, tidepooling, photography and rock or shell hunting. This region offers some of the worlds best jade ever found. Good hiking is outside the front door and major trailheads are a short drive away for more serious hikers. If just staying in and RELAXING is a priority, the cabin offers two satellite televisions, comfortable furniture and beds, a selection of DVDs and a small library. The outdoor kitchen offers chefs a chance to use their bbq skills on a large top of the line stainless steel gas grill/rotisserie and side burner. The outdoor patio and decks offer guests a chance to watch the Milky Way appear with no city lights to compete. Guests have the opportunity to spot native wildlife including foxes, bobcats, raccoons, chipmunks plus numerous birds at the feeders.From December to April you will have ample opportunity to spot the migrating Grey whales. Year round the Humpbacks can be seen. If very lucky, you might go eyeball-to-eyeball with a California Condor.

After a hard day of exploration or relaxation, what could be better than viewing an awesome sunset from the hot tub?
For your convenience, the cabin is fully furnished with organic, down, and down alternative
linens and comforters. Maid service can be arranged or you may use the washer/dryer for added privacy. The kitchen is well stocked with dinnerware, cookware (Emerilware), and serving ware. Spices and condiments are also provided as well as all paper products. Just bring your toothbrush.

The Big Sur Cabin strives to be eco-friendly. Single mattresses are organic, all hand made in Amish workshops using natural materials. The propane refrigerator is the largest one made converted to propane use in an Amish workshop. The house is off grid and powered by solar/generator energy. We ask that you be conservative with your energy use.

Our on-site-out-of-sight caretaker is here to insure a comfortable, carefree stay.

Hot Tub is open to the night sky. Outdoor kitchen includes gas grill, sideburner, sink, bar, bar stools, table,seating and fireplace.

Surfing, bird watching, photography, jade hunting, hang gliding, wildlife viewing, tidepooling, rock and seashell hunting; three nearby restaurants. Good shopping is 45 minutes in either direction. The Paso Robles wine tasting area is 1 1/2 hours away, as is California's third founded mission, San Antionio de Padua, in the Jolon area. There are three restaurants/stores the closest one 3 miles away.
