Vacation Rental Description
Set on 12 acres overlooking Lake Norfork, this property as breathtaking lake views from every angle. The house is newly renovated in an eco-luxury style, with the latest stainless steel appliances, luxury bamboo bed linens, silk curtains, wool rugs and limestone bathrooms with rock sinks, rainfall and massage showers. The heated pool is 40ft complete with giant daybeds and cushioned sun loungers. There is also an automatic cover to ensure cleanliness and safety. At night, the pool glows in florescent green, blue, red and yellow. There are plenty of decks around the house with tables and chairs for entertaining and a grand staircase leading down to the lawn.

On site is a 9-hole Frisbee golf course, in the shade of the giant oak trees, along with a horseshoe pit. The games room features a baby grand piano, pool table, table tennis table, card table, Wii Games, drum kit, gramophone, and dulcimer. Guests can rent a boat from the nearby marina, to go out tubing, water skiing, wake boarding and knee-boarding. The 550 mile lake is surrounded by rolling hills and trees, as no buildings are allowed on the shores of the lake. This keeps pollution away from the lake, the water is so clear there are even scuba diving centers. Most days, you will be able to zoom around the lake and never even see another boat.

Fishing is another popular sport in the area. Voted 2nd best town by Field and Stream Magazine, "Norfork Lake and Bull Shoals Lake teem with largemouths, as well as stripers and walleyes. The kicker, however, is that you can also catch big trout with flies in the White or Norfork (North Fork) Rivers. It's fair to say that these tailwaters - part of a 170-mile network of coldwater streams - are some of the world's best trout fisheries. The Norfork served up the former world-record brown trout (38 pounds 9 ounces) in 1988; the White has stretches that hold hundreds of 5-plus-pound brown trout per mile." (January '08)

The nearby Buffalo River was the topic of an 8-page article by National Geographic Magazine. The USA's first national river floats you gently through rapids by canoe to beaches where you can stop for picnics. Hike along streams to find waterfalls and rocky bluffs covered with wildflowers. look out for wildlife, butterflies, hummingbirds, deer and elk. For a fun shopping trip, head to Eureka Springs - beautiful art galleries, blown glass sculptures and handmade jewelry. There are also caves, such as Blanchard Caverns just down the road with spectacular stalagmites and stalactites.
