Vacation Rental Description
This property is located 10 miles from the town of Gulf Shores on the Fort morgan peninsula. It sits right on Bon Secour Bay. Across the street ( .5 mi) are the beautiful sugar sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. A boat ramp is just up the road to put in your small boat or jetski. Or put your kyack in right off the dock. The washer and dryer are located up in the shed with beach chairs and toys. The cottage has a large screened porch with a large picnic table. It is the perfect place to pick some crabs and shell some peas, and watch the kids try to catch fish or crabs on the pier in the shallow waters of the bay. If you are looking for an old fashioned beach vacation, near attractions, but off the beaten, this is the place for you to unwind after a day at the beach. Hang your towels on the clothesline, rinse off under the outdoor shower, then relax under the ceiling fan on the porch which is shaded with trees laden with Spanish moss. The cottage also has a bunk room just off the porch. Just a perfect romantic getaway or for an affordable small family vacation. You can drive to town and find lots to do: mini golf, zoo, water parks, amusement rides, parasailing, restaurants, Pensacola Naval Air Station (Home of the Blue Angels), Battleship Park, Bellingrath Gardens, and tourist shops! Or you can make a day out of driving down to the historic Fort Morgan, at the end of the peninsula, and take a ferry to Dauphin Island and visit the Dauphin Island Sea Lab. Most people come to the Fort Morgan area to get away from the crowds and walk the beach and cast their fishing poles into the gulf. When my children were young, we played on the beach in front of the house and then on the porch to get out of the sun. They loved to play in the shallow waters outside the back door (about 3' deep). They would play in their rafts all morning, set the crab traps and check them all day long! Board games, markers, and colored paper is available for some creative time. DirecTV available on 2 tv's. Bilox's casinos are about 2 hours away.
