Rainbow Reef Resort is a unique environmentally friendly beachfront retreat, dedicated to renewal, fine dining, and world class diving in a very private atmosphere.
Situated on a thirty-acre peninsula, just west of the International Dateline, this former coconut plantation boasts an exquisite beachfront location, overlooking the world famous "Rainbow Reef".
The resort provides a four romantically sited cottages that offer optimum privacy, each on its own stretch of white sandy beach.
All 4 Bures are an artistic blend of contemporary European amenities and South Pacific influences. All Bures feature an elegantly curved veranda, thatched roof and an outdoor shower atrium. Ideal for honeymoon couples or weddings. The Hibiscus bure is a two-room suite and can also accommodate families.
Guests enjoy gourmet quality meals seaside, in a lovely indoor, or open-air setting. The chefs creatively prepare and beautifully present Tropical and Pacific Rim cuisine. Regularly featured are theme nights, which include "Lovo", a traditional Fijian Feast prepared in an underground oven, outdoor barbecues, Indian Curries, etc.
Activities available are diving on the world famous "Rainbow Reef", snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, exploring Taveuni, and Kioa islands for a traditional polynesian fatelle and their native handicrafts, hiking, hammock testing, sunning and swimming.

Our focus is on diving, however, there a lots of other activities.
We have boat snorkeling, beachcombing, trekking, water activities, local craft lessons, indoor games and sunset boat trips. Special children's activities can be organized.
SNORKELING - Our barrier reef provides excellent offshore snorkeling. We also offer other nearby snorkeling locations on the Rainbow Reef and adjacent properties. Snorkeling gear can be rented for a minimum fee.
TREKKING - Our peninsula has moderate hiking trails, which can each be covered comfortably within 30-45 minutes. The trails are defined rainforest-like ridgetop paths that provide access to private beaches. Along the trails are strategically placed view decks and lookouts, allowing you to enjoy exquisite rainbows, dramatic sunsets, ancient fishponds and spectacular vistas for hundreds of miles.

Korolevu - In the Somosomo Strait with three beautiful secluded beaches. A great place for a picnic or snorkelling. Waterslide - Situated amongst the rainforest provides fun and thrills! Bouma Falls - consists of 3 separate and beautiful waterfalls. The first is an easy walk, and has a small swimming lake for swimming. The second and third entail some minor trekking. At the top, there are beautiful views out to the ocean. Boat journey to Taveuni, plus one hour by vehicle. Lavena - Takes about 20 minutes by vehicle past Bouma, but your journey will be amply rewarded by the famous Lavena Beach (where the film Blue Lagoon II was filmed), and a pleasant rainforest trek to a secluded waterfall. This waterfall is situated in its own 'amphitheatre' - a unique and stunning setting. Kioa Island - Kioa was bought by people from Tuvalu in 1947 and they still have their very own traditions and language. Watch a traditional Fatelle (dance)
