Rainbow Reef Resort offers 3 bures, all a stone throw away from the beach. All our spacious bures (Fijian cottages) are romantically sited on their own stretch of white sandy beach. Optimum privacy is assured by generous spacing between cottages and lush tropical plantings.  
 
Our seaside pavilion accommodates both indoor dining and lounge, and open air seating for those special star-filled evenings. "GILLIGAN'S" is our open air grill and bar, serving up the freshest, 'sizzlingest' meals, cold beers and tropical cocktails. From our breakfast, with piping hot omelets cooked to order; to coconut pizzas, sizzling barbecues and freshly caught seafood, GILLIGAN'S provides most meals, snacks and beverages throughout the day. GILLIGAN'S also specializes in an exotic array of tropical concoctions.  
 
Our chefs prepare all meals from scratch with organic ingredients and very often you can watch Cecil, our local fisherman, bring us freshly caught treats. We specialize in tropical and Pacific Rim cuisine, sumptuously presented. Additional menus include European, Indian, Caribbean and Asian specialties and delicious desserts. Of course, all meals can be enhanced with fine wines and 'champagne'.  
 
The property enjoys a unique geographical situation, lying in the lee of Taveuni. Excessive rain and prevailing winds are diverted, providing the property with plenty of sunshine and generally calm weather. 
 
The Resort enjoys a lovely ½ mile white sandy beach facing due east, which is protected by an offshore coral reef. Pocket beaches also surround the point. Being a peninsula also affords it the ability to enjoy spectacular panoramic vistas of Taveuni and the surrounding area for hundreds of miles. Rainbows and sunsets can be enjoyed from our strategically sited view decks, which are reached by designated trails.  
 
The grounds enjoy a lovely beachfront location in a natural park-like setting. Grassy paths wind through tropical flower gardens and fruit trees, shaded by a canopy of 100' coconut palms. Cozy little alcoves, scattered hammocks and private decks await your discovery along rustic trails. Cottages are sprinkled picturesquely around the property, nestled in the landscaped tropical gardens. Each enjoys its own stretch of white sandy beach.

ORCHID/TIARE BURE have open floor-plans, outdoor shower and inviting ocean-front veranda. An artful blend of contemporary European amenities/South Pacific influences. King-sized bed is encircled in large bedroom area, with fully screened louver windows. Bathrooms are spacious with Italian tiles, private toilet outdoor shower nestled in a garden setting. 12' sliding glass doors, ceiling fans, and mini fridge. Private deck at the water's edge with lounge chairs. FRANGIPANI BURE A spacious two room suite on its own stretch of white sandy beach. Generous spacing between cottages provides optimum privacy. A separate, bedroom w/ king-sized bed. This unit incorporates an unobtrusive, adventurous sleeping loft for two children or 1 adult. (Recommended ages 12+) HIBISCUS BURE: A sitting room with mini fridge/two separate spacious bedrooms. Ideal for family or 2 couples.

You are literally within swimming distance to some of the world's most exquisite dive sites. This proximity allows you very quick access to well-known sites such as Rainbow Passage, Annies Bommies and the Great White Wall, and other sites not usually frequented. Dive sites are 5-10 minutes from our beach where the dive boat will pick you up. 
 
Boat snorkeling, beachcombing, trekking, local craft lessons, a full array of indoor games and sunset boat trips. Children's activities can be organized. SNORKELING: We offer other nearby snorkeling locations on the Rainbow Reef. Snorkeling gear can be rented for a minimum fee. TREKKING: Moderate hiking trails, which can be covered within 30-45 minutes. Defined rainforest-like ridgetop paths that provide access to private beaches. Strategically placed view decks and lookouts, allow you to enjoy rainbows, sunsets, ancient fishponds, spectacular vistas for hundreds of miles.

Rates include 17.5% government taxes. Dive Packages can be booked as add ons. 2 tank dives and dive packages cannot be split or shared. Confirmation of your reservation will be sent w/ receipt of $50% deposit. Balance due at checkin. Rates quoted are subject to change. Should you need to cancel for any reason, deposits can be credited toward your future stay within 2 years, less a small processing fee.
