Vacation Rental Description

This is our family vacation home in Punta Hermosa, a small beach town located at 40 Km (25 miles) South of Lima, the capital of Peru. Driving time from Lima-Callao International Airport is approximately 1.5 hours, and approximately 35 min from Miraflores (the main district South of Lima). Our home has two stories independent from each other, each with its own kitchen and bedrooms. The rental is mainly for the newer section in the second floor, but renters may use the first floor facilities if so desired but these are less furnished. Punta Hermosa streets are paved with pressed sand and pebbles keeping the feeling of a beach town. Sidewalks are of conventional concrete.

The community of Punta Hermosa is represented by middle class residents from Lima who own these homes for vacationing during the Summer (January to March). However, the relatively mild weather during the other months of the year allow these homes to be used as peaceful and secluded places for vacationing. The surrounding areas of the town are home to native permanent residents, mostly from very modest economical status.

The water in the faucets is potable, good for cooking but borderline for drinking. We provide a 5 gallon plastic container of purified drinking water; refills are available at modest prices from a small store market at one block from the house, and they can be delivered to your door.

Crime rate is relatively high in all Peru but mostly limited to small thieves and pocket-pickers. It is highly recommended not to leave valuables unattended, and your house door always closed. Punta Hermosa has a Police Station at a few blocks from our home and policemen patrol the city periodically. They may eventually come to homes to check if everything is OK and you do not have to worry about this; we prefer these friendly visits.

The house has a permanent guard who lives in the premises in the first floor and away from the private residence in the second floor. Please, contact us if you have any questions.

Please, inquire if you need some special feature not listed here. The owners are members of the Beach Club "Casino Nautico de Punta Hermosa" which has a private beach, swimming pools (ocean water and tap water), tennis courts, basketball field, prime bocce courts and restaurant. For a basic fee renters will be considered as owner's guests and this facility can be used during weekdays; no weekends allowed (please inquire) .

High Season (December-April): US$ 110/night - US$ 770/week (Main Holidays $150/night). Low Season (May - November): US$ 80/night -US$ 560/week. Cleaning fee (US$ 30 per rental or per week): paid in advance, applies to all rentals based on rental time. Damage deposit (US$ 150): paid in advance and refundable after rental. Reservations: 20% payment at time of reservation (refundable upto 7 days before rental, less 10%). Send your reservation payment (20%) via PayPal, USA checks or money orders are also accepted.
