This 100 sqm, two suite - each with its private bathroom - appartment is fully equiped to receive up to 4 people.
The building, a high security dream-vacation residence, has swimming pools, 2 saunas, fitness room, tennis court, and a restaurant serving even breakfast. Laundry services are available. The reception desk is manned 24 hours a day, 7/7. If you’re renting a car, parking can be arranged.

The location is great - especially if you're a runner or a surfer, or just looking for a quiet spot on which to enjoy bathing in clear waters. On the beach, vendors offer beverages (ice tea, coconut water) and all sorts of yummi specialties (skewers freshly grilled, empanadas, etc).

But Barra is not all about sunbathing : it is also the fastest growing area in Rio, and home to many corporate offices (Shell, Merck, Nokia, Michelin...). If you’re coming to work, this location will offer you a confortable home away from home, which you’ll enjoy returning to at the end of the day.

Barra is also a shoppers’ paradise, with lots of impressive malls. The apt is located a short walk away from the 4 star Sheraton Hotel, from which free shuttles to the Barra Shopping (largest shopping mall in latin America) are available hourly.

The region is thus a peaceful anchorpoint from which to discover Rio. A 20 minute ride will get you to the fuz of Leblon, Ipanema and Copacabana. (There are air condictionned buses – but should you prefer cabs, the fare to Ipanema will be around 10 us$)

Barra da Tijuca or simply Barra as locals say is the best place to be: wonderful beaches, restaurants, malls, and lots of things to do.
Rio de Janeiro’s youngest neighborhood, it is an area where everything is superlative. The beach is 18 km long. Here is the largest convention center in Latin America. The largest shopping mall too, with over 650 shops, and its own monorail system. Instead of supermarkets you have hypermarkets, with thousands of square feet. Add theme parks, natural reserves with wild birds and alligators, preserved beaches with limited access to cars, and you start getting an idea of the myriad possibilities.

Barra’s beach - much like Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon - is ponctuated by lifeguard watchtowers, the Postos. Throughout the city, they direct Cariocas’s lifes who use them as meeting points.
