Vacation Rental Description
Casa Angel was designed by Miguel Valverde, a well known Mexican Architect whose work has been featured in Houses of the Pacific Coast. It is so lovely and graceful, that when you sit in the pool, you will find yourself staring up at it and smiling. And what a setting! The expansive ocean view includes a long stretch of rugged coastline, the palm-lined beach, as well as the lagoon where the fishermen of Sayulita moor their boats. On the land side, Casa Angel sits directly beside a wild and completely undeveloped jungle canyon. The ocean breezes are nearly constant, and you can fall to sleep to the gentle sound of waves breaking on the shore. At night, the lights of Sayulita glitter below. The sunsets are magnificent, and in every room are large wooden doors and windows, which fold open to create an airy indoor/outdoor lifestyle perfect for the tropics.
Surrounding Casa Angel is an extensive, flower-filled garden, and a lush level lawn. Beyond the lawn is a gracefully curved pool, not a dipping pool, but one that is large enough to swim laps. And it is all yours. Since there are no casitas or other units on the property, once you close the garden gate behind you, no one will enter except at your invitation. Lounge in the sunshine, read a book in a hammock, take a night swim in the sparkling lighted pool.
Casa Angel features two totally separate, private bedrooms with adjoining baths. The upstairs Rose Bedroom is ringed with a flower box filled with yellow, pink, and purple blooms. The downstairs Aqua Bedroom opens directly onto the patio and pool, and not only has a gorgeous ocean view, but looks out as well into the wild jungle canyon. The house can sleep four people in style, and if needed, cots for children can be set up on the palapa covered mirador adjoining the Rose Bedroom.
The breathtaking natural surroundings, combined with an exceptional attention to detail, literally surround you with beauty. Ringing the floors of each of the round rooms, as well as in the mirador, pool, patio, and paths you will find delicate inlaid stone vines and flowers by talented artisan Lupe Ascencia. Towering above the upstairs bedroom and the mirador (view place) are palapas, whose workmanship will amaze and delight you. And from her place in the garden, an exquisite hand carved stone angel watches over the house.
Casa Angel offers luxury furninghings throughout. In the Rose Bedroom you will find fine hardwood furniture from Malaysia, and in the Aqua Bedroom, a beautiful white four poster bed with a canopy. There are original paintings on the walls, finely crafted talvera plates, a carved gold leafed angel floating amid a field of heart shaped Milagros, as well as many other art objects. Crocheted hammocks make the mirador a place you will love to hang out. Curvy wrought iron outdoor chairs and a marble table allow you to eat outdoors in style, while chaise lounges and chairs imported from the United States make you comfortable around the pool. The kitchen counters and the patio are crafted of a beautiful mango colored local rock called Tekul. An elegant wicker sofa and matching chairs grace the living room area, and the round dining table and chairs were custom made by an artisan who works in a small village outside Guadalajara.
Ramiro our gardener will clean the pool and care for the garden three times a week. Carmina our maid will clean every day except Sunday (unless this is not wanted.) Our local English and Spanish speaking house manager, Maru, will be available to handle any problems or questions which arise. Air conditioning is available in both bedrooms during the summer months, and is not needed at other times because of the almost constant ocean breezes.
