Vacation Rental Description
Lake Chapala is the largest natural lake in Mexico measuring 48.77 miles in length and 12.7miles in width. It is located in the State of Jalisco, about 40 miles south-east of the city of Guadalajara - A major cultural centre in Mexico. It is home to about 30,000 Canadians and Americans who enjoy this veritable paradise at the lakeside. According to National Geographic Magazine, this area enjoys one of the best climates in the world. Picturesque villages dot the edges of the lake and provide rich cultural experiences for the visitor, seeking to commune with nature, relax the body and feed the soul.
Among the expatriates are writers, painters, sculptors, photographers, and professionals in all walks of life, and who have contributed and encouraged the development of the arts at Lakeside. This is not your average ocean side, beach front resort spot in Mexico, but it will tug at your heartstrings and give you a better appreciation for the lifestyle and cultural heritage of the people of the area.
Our house is located close to the center of the village on the hillside with a great view of the lake. Come experience Ajijic and La Casa.

Drive 1 block to the end of Rio Lerma and the road automatically turns right on to Rio Papaloapan. Drive up to #68 Rio Papaloapan ( About 4 houses from the corner ).
