Vacation Rental Description
This beautiful cottage of exquisite decor still retains its original character with exposed beams. Furnished and equipped to very high standards, the upstairs living room enjoys lovely views. Situated in a quiet backwater of the historic Pennine village of Honley, it is only a three minute walk to daily opening food shops, pubs and award winning restaurants. In fabulous 'last of the summer wine' walking country, on the edge of the Peak District National Park and close to the Pennine Way, Jeff's Cottage is within easy driving distance of Manchester, Leeds, Harewood House, Chatsworth, the Bronte country and even the indoor real snow ski slope Xscape at Casleford. For children there is the 'hands on'action and activity museum in nearby Halifax, a wonderful childrens' farm and play area at the Cannon Hall farm shop at Cawthorne, and steam train trips on the Kirklees Light Railway.

The cottage is centrally heated with radiators in every room, double glazing, and will accommodate 5 people.The price includes all linen,towels,gas electricity and heating. Fresh flowers are placed in the living room before your arrival, together with a bowl of fresh fruit and fresh milk in the fridge. The living / kitchen / dining room is upstairs for the views. It contains a magnificent gas fired 'wood burning' stove - other equipment includes dishwasher, oven, cooking hob, microwave, fridge, TV and DVD player, stereo radio, CD player and mobile broadband for your laptop. Downstairs are three bedrooms ; a single with brass bedstead, a double and a twin. A cot is also provided. The washing machine is under the stairs.The well equipped bathroom has a large corner bath, shower and very large drying radiator for wet clothes or towels.

Our prices and availability are now on our webpage at www.cottageguide.co.uk/jeffscottage. Normally bookings are for one week Saturday to Saturday but 3 or 4 day breaks or last minute bookings can often be made.
A deposit of £85 is required to confirm your booking and this then becomes the refundable breakages/damage deposit when you pay the complete charge for your holiday. The complete charge has to be paid ONE MONTH before your holiday commences The £85 deposit will then be returned to you 7-10 days after departure. Please make cheques payable to J.C.England and send to 28 Town Head, Honley, Holmfirth HD9 6BW. You are requested to leave the cottage by 10am. on the day of departure and not to arrive before 4pm. on arrival day.
