An attractive, stone-built, terraced property, this charming cottage adjoins the owner's home in the village of Lanchester in the heart of County Durham. The cottage offers warm and comfortable accommodation with an attractive garden to the front and an enclosed yard to the rear. Inside, the property has been well decorated and furnished to an exceptionally high standard, combining modern convenience and traditional charm, and offers three bedrooms able to sleep up to six people. Other accommodation includes a fitted kitchen, a spacious dining room and a lounge with wood-burning stove. This pretty cottage is ideally situated to explore everything that this diverse and beautiful region has to offer.

Activities

Set in the beautiful countryside of County Durham is the village of Lanchester, approximately eight miles to the west of Durham itself. Taking its name from the Roman fort of Longovicium, the site of the current village has been home to a settlement for centuries. Today, the connection with the Romans attracts historians and archaeologists, as does the nearby 'Roman Dere Street'. Now a thriving and substantial village, Lanchester offers a wide range of shops, pubs and restaurants, whilst the surrounding countryside provides exceptional walking trails including the Lanchester Valley Walk which runs the course of a disused railway line from Consett to Durham. Durham City itself is just eight miles away whilst Newcastle is just 20 miles, offering visitors a thriving metropolis full of culture, superb shopping facilities, live music and theatre.

				High Season Price:	£611 per Week

All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday. Change Over
