This detached stone built cottage is in the hamlet of Holwick, close to Barnard Castle, north of the Yorkshire Dales and can sleep five people in two bedrooms.

Shepherd’s Cottage is a stone built detached cottage located in the
hamlet of Holwick, north of the Yorkshire Dales. This ‘upside down’
cottage has two ground floor bedrooms, which consist of one double and one
family room with three single beds, plus the ground floor includes a family
bathroom. The first floor has a living area including a kitchen, a dining and
a sitting area. To the outside, this cottage has ample parking and a garden
with furniture and BBQ. Shepherd’s Cottage is a delightful cottage and a
perfect family holiday home.

Gas central heating and additional heating from gas stove in sitting room. Gas cooker, microwave, fridge, colour TV etc. Shared use of laundry room with automatic washer and dryer. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen inc. in rent. Ample parking. Sitting area with garden furniture and BBQ. One well behaved pet under strict control welcome. Pub 5 mins walk, farm/butcher’s shop and cafe on owners’ farm, other shops 3 miles. Situated at the end of a no-through-road in the heart of beautiful unspoilt Teesdale is the peaceful, charming hamlet of Holwick. Designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this lovely region is an excellent spot for walkers or bird watchers. High Force waterfall is within walking distance of the hamlet whilst the challenging Pennine Way passes close by. In the village itself there is a pub which serves food, as well as a farm shop and butchers that has an additional cafe area. There are many other picturesque villages nearby however – such as Middleton, Mickleton and Romaldkirk – as well as the ancient market town of Barnard Castle that provide a wide range of amenities. The Lake District is less than an hour's drive away whilst all of the Northern Dales are within easy reach.

All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday. Change Over
