Vacation Rental Description
Nestled at the junction of the prestigious Stratford canal and the historic Grand Union canal this luxurious lock-keeper's cottage has something to offer everyone. Providing generous accomodation for up to 6 people, the cottage has recently been totally refurbished retaining many of its original features and adding home comforts and state of the art technology. At its heart is a large well equipped kitchen with central island and Redfyre range cooker. The cottage boasts a large family room with Bose cinema surround sound and HD plasma screen. The dining room provides the ideal environment for entertaining with direct access to the garden on warm balmy evenings. There is also a large canalside lounge with wood burning stove and views of passing boats. A entrance hall and downstairs cloakroom complete the ground floor. A stylish oak staircase rises from the dining room and provides access to a large landing with access to the family bathroom and three bedrooms. The master bedroom enjoys an ensuite bathroom with wet room and overhead shower. There is a discrete plasma screen with access to the Bose sound system. The second bedroom is nearest the canal and offers views of the lock and bridge. Both rooms have brass bedsteads and extensive fitted oak cupboards and wardrobe space. The third bedroom has two single beds and views down the canal.Outside there is enclosed parking for up to three vehicles, a lawned area and a patio with oak garden furniture. Whilst the garden is enclosed providing both privacy and security it is adjacent to lock 18 on the Stratford Canal which can be busy during the high season providing first hand sight of a range of narrow boats both old and new.
Facilities
The cottage has been tastefully refurbished blending traditional features with state of the art luxury. The family room has a 42inch HD plasma screen with 5 speaker surround sound and a library of DVD's. There is a 20gb hard drive Bose sound system providing music to all downstairs rooms and the master bedroom. The system is ipod compatible, allowing you to play your own music in any room. Free wi-fi broadband. The kitchen has a large American fridge with filtered water and ice making facility. There is a built in coffee machine. There is an electric Redfyre range with halogen rings and both a conventional and fan oven. The master bedroom boasts an ensuite bathroom, comprising of a modern walk through wet room with overhead shower. Situated on the canal footpath the Cottage is ideal for those interested in walking, cycling, fishing or just chilling out. Three cycles are available and a limited amount of fishing tackle.
Activities
Nestled in the heart of Shakespeare country Lapworth is 9 miles from historic Warwick, 13 miles from Stratford Upon Avon and less than5 miles from the NEC. There is a local railway station with links to London and Birmingham. The motorway network with access North, South and Southwest is a few miles away.
There are three gastro pubs within the village two of which are within walking distance. www.bootinnlapworth.co.uk The third less than 5 minutes by car. The area is renowned for places to eat catering for all tastes and pockets.

There are no additional charges. Upon booking a 25% deposit is required to secure your booking. The remainder due must be paid in full 8 weeks before your choosen holiday dates. If booked within 8 weeks of your choosen dates then payment must be made in full. Cancellation policy: Cancellation should be made by phone and confirmed in writing stating the reason. The date contact is made will count as the cancellation date. 56 days or more before the date of your holiday and your full deposit/payment will be returned. 29-56 days 50% of cost or full deposit which ever is greater will be charged. 15-28 days 75% of cost will be charged 1-14 days 90% of cost will be charged On arrival or later total cost will be charged. Payment will be by cheque or bankers draft.
