A six bedroom manor house to rent set in five acres of formal gardens including private golf course and grass tennis court. The house is situated in Ludlow, Shropshire famous for its fine dining, Norman castle and historic buildings as well as the annual Arts and Food and Drink Festivals.

The house is arranged over two floors. The downstairs has a substantial entrance hall and inner lobby. There is a downstairs cloakroom with wc and wash hand basin. The grand drawing room with fire leads to the Snooker room with half size table.There is less formal Sitting room with TV and DVD. The large kitchen is well fitted out with 5 ring cooker and griddle as well as two ovens. There is a microwave and freezer. Beyond the kitchen is a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. The substantial dining room adjacent to the kitchen has a table for 12 and a woodburner.

The upstairs has a master bedroom with king size bed has an en suite bathroom with cast iron roll top bath and walk in shower as well as large adjacent dressing room (suitable for cot which can be provided). There are two furthur double bedrooms with king size beds as well as two twin rooms; one comprising of bunk beds suitable for children. There is a further single bedroom. The large family bathroom has a slipper bath, walk in shower, two sinks and a wc. There is also a shower room with toilet and sink. The Manor House can accommodate up to 9 adults and 2 children.

The five areas of garden, which include a grass tennis court and 6 hole golf course have been opened to the public as part of the NGS Yellow Book scheme. Well maintained gardens surround the property.

There is a large terrace to the south west of the house with generous seating, external lighting and bbq area ideal for al fresco dining, then steps up to areas of lawn, pond and kitchen gardens. To the south of the house is the grass tennis court and large areas of lawn.

The six hole golf course has well maintained fairways and professionally laid greens and features a large pond.

The grass tennis court is playable from April to September and is rollered regularly to maintain its excellent playing surface.

There is a children's play area with trampoline, rope swing, swings and slide, tree house, wooden wendy house and zip wire.

There is ample parking to the front on the property.

Shropshire and Hereford offer fantastic countryside with its walking opportunities as well as picture postcard country towns and the famous black and white timber village tour. There are many castles on the Welsh border including the best preserved Norman castle in the country in Ludlow, where you can also partake in fine dining in one of the two Michelin starred restaurants or shop in a foodie pardise.

There is Mortimers Trail to walk as well as the Long Mynd moorland and the valleys of the beautiful Teme, Clu, Corve and Onny offer a huge variety of wildlife.

For the sports fans there is racing at Ludlow and Hereford as well as horse riding for those wanting to be more participative. Many golf courses including the highest course in England with spectacular holes at Kington.

The annual Arts festival , Food and Craft festivals are great attractions as is a tour up the church tower for wide rangings views of the town.
