Bucknell lies in the River Teme valley in South Shropshire, near to the Wales and Herefordshire borders. This part of the country is home to some beautiful unspoilt countryside, and offers plenty of other things to see and do too. The superb restaurants and shops of the historic market town of Ludlow; the 10 fascinating museums at Ironbridge Gorge; the nearby market towns of Craven Arms and Knighton, and the interesting county town of Shrewsbury are all an easy drive away. There is a Heart of Wales Railway station in the village, and if you venture south you will find the cider orchards and black and white villages of North Herefordshire. Bucknell offers a full range of amenities, including two pubs, both of which serve food.
