Its soaring views sets Dukes Farm apart. It enjoys a majestic south-facing sweep of valley to the famed Black Hill. The three barns - The Swallow Barn, The Granary, and The Goose Cotts are among the best of ancient English architecture, with exposed cruck beams, stone roofs and massive buttresses. They seem to grow out of the mountainside, around the spring by which they were built. Luxuriously fitted out for style and relaxation.

The sheep-farming pastureland is studded with historical sites, testament to the battles and myths of Celtic border country. The historic city of Hereford (17 miles) houses the oldest map of the world. The colourful town of Hay-on-Wye (7 miles) is famous for its books: it has eleven miles of bookshelf, and hosts the most famous literary festival in the world. The walled town of Monmouth (20 miles) passed between the English and Welsh for centuries. It's passionate country.
