About the owners
We are both 61 years old and have been married for 40 years! We have 3 children and 10 grandchildren! This may help you to understand why the tranquility of the apartment is so important to us!
Our only excuse for buying the apartment was that we drove past the development, fell in love with the location, continued on up the drive, fell in love with the building, asked to be shown the apartment, and fell in love with the vaulted ceiling and leaded windows. Following an in-depth discussion along the lines of "I love it and I must have it" and "It's alright, I love it too", half an hour later we were the proud owners of "a Week-end Retreat." Back in the real world, we decided the best way around the problem of the apartment standing empty for 3/4 of the year was to share its beauty with like-minded people who were looking for a unique place to escape the rat-race. It works for us!
All the words in the world cannot sell you our beloved apartment. You will only fall in love with it, as we have, by experiencing its peace, its calm, its tranquility and its beauty. It has a very special atmosphere, especially on a Sunday morning, with the sun glinting over the quadrangle and the doves cooing on the rooftops. Of course, if all the quietude gets too much, you can head off to the city of Hereford which is altogether more lively, or to one of the local pubs where you will find delicious food at reasonable prices and very friendly locals. The surrounding woods and hills are the perfect places to walk it off! Then you can head straight into Ledbury for one of 'Mrs Muffins' (half-way up Church Lane) cream teas and back to the peace of the apartment.
