Vacation Rental Description
Set in beautiful Welsh Countryside, Granary Cottage is the largest of 4 s/c cottages based on a 12th century farm surounded by quiet farmland nestling under the Skirrid Mountain. The stone property has been tastefully converted from an original farm building. It is on one level and is spacious, warm and comfortable. It has revealed beams and stone walls with 3 double bedrooms - one with a double bed and two with twin beds. There is a bathroom with WC and a 2nd shower-room/WC. There is a large sitting-room/dining area with wheelchair access via french windows which open out onto a lawn. The view from the french windows is across fields towards the mountain. The front two bedrooms overlook the farmyard and the 3rd bedroom, kitchen and bathrooms look towards the back lawn and the swimming pool.
We have 3 smaller cottages which are adjacent - and are set around our farmhouse. All have central heating, TV/DVD, they are fully fitted - and the 3 larger properties all have dishwashers. Bed linen is supplied. We have an indoor heated swimming pool and a games room with pool and table-tennis. There is ample room to sit outwith a barbeque or children to play. There is a shared laundry room with washing machines and driers. There is parking outside of each cottage. Footpaths run from the Farm and a golf-course is only 1/2 mile away.
Werngochlyn is a working farm with a BHS Approved Riding School. We welcome pets and it is paradise for children!
The market town of Abergavenny - famous for its Food Festival is only 3 miles away. The michelin-starred Walnut Tree Restaurant is a 20 minute walk across the fields - or a 5 minute drive!

Four fully-equipped self-catering cottages set around the farmyard sleeping 4-6. (Extras can be accommodated on camp-beds or in the Farmhouse.) All tastefully converted from old stone farm buildings with stone walls and revealed beams, centrally-heated - cozy enough for a Winter break, or to return to on a rainy summer’s evening. Dogs welcome!
There is a heated indoor swimming pool, games room, plenty of room to sit out and have a barbecue, with ample parking. A stream runs through the farmyard and there are plenty of friendly farm animals to get to know - Paradise for children!

Werngochlyn has an indoor swimming pool and a BHS Riding School with an indoor and outdoor riding arenas. A golf-course is within walking distance and footpaths run from the farm.
There's SO much to do in the area - historical buildings and castles; museums; Blaenavon World Heritage Site and Mining Museum is nearby; boating along the beautiful Brecon-Newport canal; this is a big walking area with The Brecon Beacons National Park and Black Mountains. For those who like a more adventurous time there are Pony Trecking centres, quad biking, gorge-walking, hang-gliding, pot-holing, climbing centres, water-sports and sailing facilities within 30 minutes drive. The Celtic Manor Golf Course (home of the Ryder Cup) is 15miles away.
The bustling historic market town of Abergavenny is 3 miles away and is a centre for first-class restaurants. Its annual Food Festival and the Literary Festival at nearby Hay-on-Wye are world famous.
